I was just in the record store but they had no records that suit my present needs.

They did however have the book Bass Culture about the history of reggae which is supposed to be really good and only cost 5 euros (second hand). And it's like 500 pages or something. :celebrate:

Even though they like to tease me about being practically Amish at work :glare: I picked out some fabric this weekend and I'm going to make a diaper bag. And I might just make some bread or something else like that for good measure :giggle: I can't help it if doing that sort of thing makes me happy. :wriggle:

The fabric I got is a light blue with another contrasting fabric that is blue with gold and white. I'll post a pic if it is successful. I've been wanting to make a bag out of Malloch's old uniforms but I'm not quite sure how to go about that yet.

Remember lining! I think an old-uniform bag would be bitchen' cool! But I also like a variety of blues. Maybe you could make a reversible uniform/blues one? (O, here, allow me to complicate your project for you!)

Well I have cut up Malloch's old uniforms and I have the outside and liner done. I'm working on the handle and closure right now. I was actually really digging the idea of the reversible one but I was afraid I was going to get in over my head.

I picked up Doppelganger by Curve and The Rich Man's Eight Track by Big Black at Amoeba on Sunset and Vine last night, so there's that.

I was out planting a few blueberry and raspberry bushes and I noticed that it looks like we should get a decent yield from our grape vines we planted a few years ago. Last year we just got two little bunches but they were easily the best grapes I've ever had. :wriggle: I can't wait!

Strawberries, last year we got about 3 (I planted 7 of them in a big planter box) this year it looks like a lot.
Plus most of my plants survived quite well, despite the unusually long, snowy winter.

I got a real live letter in the mail from Janet! It has stamps and everything! I have not opened it yet because the idea of just having a real live letter waiting is excitement in itself! It's a letter! From Janet! That I got from the mailbox! Stamps! And a letter!

I just bought an insurance policy for 3 cars and 2 drivers in Georgia that cost just $12 more than my single-car policy in California cost. Should I be gushing, babbling, or glowing about car insurance? Probably not, but I'll take what I can get.
