Back from Peru and back at work. From all the climbing and walking and water-guzzling, I lost 7 pounds in 10 days, even though I had plenty to eat.

Speaking of which, I was totally going to try the local delicacy but chickened out. I just couldn't make myself eat guinea pig.

I'm at the stage in the cycle where regular brain glitch insomnia starts to dovetail with the other, secondary forms--distraction insomnia from being achy from not sleeping enough, and rage insomnia from being mad about it.

It's probably best to get your head on fire before you chop your fingers off. Hard to light a match with your fingers lying on the chopping board.

IMO it would be better to start a fire prior to chopping one's fingers off. Then position yourself so that after the fingers are severed, one can bend (or fall) over into the flames. You should have a few moments before going shock sets in and decreases the chances of actually following through.

Sick, again. Went to urgent care place on Friday. Allergic Rhinitis, for which I was given a steroid nasal spray. Still sick from that but not as bad. Would have returned to work today, but last night the plumbing stopped up again. Did two loads of laundry. After the second, everything blocked up. The tub is full of dirty water and no amount of plunging the toilet seems to clear it. Tried using the drain snake in the yard cleanout but to no avail. Now I'm waiting till 8 AM to call the property manager.

Steroid nasal sprays are the bomb. (IIHTIR). I've used nasacort for years, and it's finally gone OTC. It's prevented my nasal polyps from growing back, and strongly reduced my allergic (histamine) response.

The doctor said it would take a week to start working. My nose has been more clear (this is the fourth day) but of course it's impossible to know why.

Maybe better not to tell your property manager that you were doing laundry in your toilet when you call to notify him/her about the problem.

My aunt Nell died tonight. Expected, she was in her 90s and suffering dementia. Total family death count since November: 6. (Cats count). What the hell is even going on?
