951,671 I wish there was a watering hole 'round here. Turns out, she hasn't paid the bill in 3 months, and the last month the bill was suspiciously huge (as in 4 times the usual) so there might be a leak situation mudding up the waters, so to speak.

Time to buy water by the keg again. :chain:

Well, I think you should move somewhere that has a little patch of land to grow your herbs on or a spot for a little kitchen garden. Just my silly opinion, so don't mind me. I don't like that your landlady is trying to turn you into :pigpen:

The water was shut off this morning. Nobody nearby, but if needs be a motel will do the trick. Hopefully it won't get to that point.

Ainorite?! I hear you completely on the little patch of land thing. It's definitely in the works, but probably not until next year, so for now it's tough-it-out time.

That reminds me, though. I'd like to have a xeriscape for the general property, but with a full-on veggie garden irrigated by a greywater system. Do you have any suggestions for reading material?

Oh that would be cool if you got a patch to garden in. I don't know of any books about it, unfortunately, but I will keep my eyes open for that information. Mother Earth News is usually good for information like that. Rainbarrows to capture what comes out of your gutters is a good way to go too.
