Re: Australian town bans bottled water
As far as bottled water goes, is considering putting deposits on all bottled beverages rather than just soda. I don't have a problem with that. I think that way, more would get recycled rather than just thrown away. I don't get the impression that many people save their bottles for the recycle bin. However, not even in a city like do I see many empty bottles littering the streets. I see more plastic wrappers than anything else along with empty nip bottles and, yes, the occasional syringe (that made me too, Deadlokd). If any of that garbage finds its way into my yard, I pick it up and throw it out; otherwise, I've learned to ignore it. I have no intention of walking the streets picking up debris, so I don't see the use in myself getting all bent out of shape over it.

Hey! It's ChuckF and his cum gargler!
Entertainment!
Watch now as the dismiss the misfortunes of others as entirely unimportant. People suffering elsewhere is not their problem. Oh, heavens, no! That's just fodder for mockery and 'humor'. They are here for the LULZ...they don't care how they get them.
And now Shelli the shit-lover just goes right along.
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, huh? I mean....she does advertise it. So, why not cater to it's whims when it's trying to be 'funny'?
ETA: In other news, Shelli announces that she doesn't care if she lives in a shitpile neighborhood. This explains a lot.

I'm deeply sorry for your misfortune of having to look at litter sometimes. I'm sure the suffering you must experience brooks no earthly comparison.

Whatever, godfry. Suffering a coronary over a piece of litter seems incredibly fucking stoopid to me, but hey, you get off on that shit, I know.

You and ChuckF's cum-garglers don't seem to understand that every little piece of litter, tossed aside as unimportant and 'not worth it', is piled on every other piece of trash that you and every other shitheaded asshole throws out as litter, ends up in places where it should not be....
That litter kills wildlife.
That litter can concentrate toxins.
That litter can slowly accumulate by being washed down watercourses to lakes and rivers and then into the oceans. The plastics float and create shit like the North Pacific Gyre. A fucking floating island larger than the state of Texas of plastic wastes accumulated in the northern Pacific Ocean.
You know how that shit got there?...Because of assholes like you, Shelli. The ones who don't give a shit about anything beyond their front gate. The ones who see others doing crap that makes it all worse for all the rest of us...and you just shrug your shoulders and slack off. Out of sight, out of mind.
So...Fuck you, Shelli.

I think I appreciate godfry more every day. There's an old street preacher that comes to my college every so often, yelling semi-coherently about homosexuals and whatnot. I can't help but imagine godfry is just like him IRL.

Be fair now, does the street preacher ever speculate as to which of you are gargling each others' cum?

You make an excellent point. The street preacher is not nearly as entertaining as godfry.
This is him, btw: Gary Birdsong - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I think YouTube has some good videos of him.

I wouldn't say "anything", but yes, I do laugh a lot. I take it that you find good humor to be a faulty personality trait? I find quite a lot in life to be amusing while some others find quite a lot to be infuriating. I used to be in the ranks of "some others" but decided that I'd much rather die laughing than crying.

[Nitpick] Actually, if you were driving that fast, then the approaching red lights would look green (or yellow, or even blue), not the other way 'round. Green lights would look blue or violet.
Of course, if you were watching the receding green lights in your rear-view mirror, then they'd look red.[/Nitpick]
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Australian town bans bottled water
Hah! You obviously weren't reading carefully-enough.
I specifically referred to whether the lights were approaching or receding in reference to your vehicle, just to take into account the fact that you might have been driving backwards at relativistic speeds.
So there.

Godfry: Yes, litter can be hazardous. No, litter is not pretty. But there are plenty of other things fucked up with this world that by far supersede the "wrongness" of litter. I don't know about you, but if I'm going to stroke out over something, it's going to be of more importance than litter. Good lard, godfry, get a grip on yourself. In private plskthnx.
