Is anybody going to take realtime track of whether I complete this post in two minutes? On the off-chance that it could be, I will type as fast as I can.

Several years ago, I had a very public spat with another online person who worked for the TSA and made no bones about the fact that she believed my conviction that the TSA are A) poorly trained and B) less than useful, to be inflammatory and offensive. Bite me. IIRC I tried to be somewhat conciliatory but come one, every time I fly nowadays it's proven over and over again: although I'm sure that there are many good, decent and intelligent people working for both the TSA and the DMV, the default setting appears to be "IDIOT WITH A CONTROL COMPLEX".

There I said it. My two minutes are now up and I shall wait patiently for Homeland Security to come carry me away in the pie wagon.

To be honest, my experiences at the DMV have never been bad. Sure, sometimes there was a wait, but it wasn't that long given the number of people there. And the people who helped me didn't seem any different from other customer service types.

BUT I also have only gone to a small town DMV, and I've only gone to get my permit, restricted license, and full license, and once to replace a license that was defective (much of the info rubbed off in my wallet after a couple years).

Maybe the DMV is different in urban areas, or in other states.

The post office also doesn't seem to be particularly bad as far as service in my hometown... The line is only slightly slower than other places.

Sometimes with these things, I don't know who I hate more. The hateworthy people in the story or the idiots who comment.

Luckily, hate, unlike love, is infinite.

Bah the hypocrisy is amazing. The original argument is that it is the companies product (music software etc) and thus they can do what they want with it. Oh except when it pisses off the RIAA or the MPAA in that case regulations that prevent companies from doing what they want are a great idea.

It's only worth two minutes of hate, but it's two minutes every time I hear it or think about hearing it. There's a new Brawny paper towel commercial where Mr. Brawny, or whatever his stupid name is - the guy on the package I mean, is singing Lean on Me. What the heck? If anyone or anything should not be singing that song it's a stupid paper towel mascot. That's just stupid.

Yeah my dad had Verizon as his regular land line, they wouldn't take a report of me saying the phones in his entire city weren't working, because I wasn't their customer.
