I haven't the faintest idea. Someone suggested that maybe some of us think we can spy, but are the spying equivalent of a Naive Cop, and always get a "no actions" result. I guess that could work. I think it's more likely that some people are lying, though.

But bad in what way? I can't see Megatron just making something up and saying that's what happened, it's too... he'd be participating in the game too much. So doesn't it have to be "no action happened" every time, or what?

I suppose insanity could also be implemented via randomization. Like, maybe I'm insane, and he just rolls a die or something to determine whose actions I actually end up seeing instead of telling me what my target did.

Damn no edits.

That is to say, I still think liar(s) are more likely than insanity, I'm just theorizing about how I might implement insane spies if I were going to include them in a game.

I don't know bad in what way, just that if even half of what people are saying is true, there appear on the surface to be some BS reads. I'm not insinuating that Megatron is making it up as he goes along, but I'm not in a position to do anything but speculate about why a read would be bad. So far we've had suggestions of ninjas and naive spies. Who knows. This is a very complex game.

Oh, I understand, ES. I'm just reading people talk about trying to test sanity, or whatever. I don't see how it works without having the fact that insane means "of the two possible results, you get the wrong one". And tests certainly wouldn't work if other players were meddling in the views.

But I tend to agree that one or two are lying and not insane. Maybe it'd work better if two of you investigated the other one, but we don't know who's a scum pair with who.

Anyway, be back in a bit, dinner.

After all, my theory primarily covers slim and Adam's actions today. They could both be guilty, and Kael and Gonzo could both be innocent.

Don't even give me crap about the fact that I am a teacher who just worked late 'powering down' the school for SPRING BREAK (energy efficiency crap) and spent 2 hours reading through this stuff!

I can not believe I actually caught up with everyone (not the fastest of readers).
Anyway, I will do this as best as I can seeing as my brain is mush after what I just finished reading.

side not to JA:
JA: Though this means nothing regarding my suspicions (just to debate the "Scrapheap" vs. "Disassembled" thing) - I think that disassembled would be the 'mostly dead'. To disasseble implies to 'take apart' or 'dismantle' (not 'rip to shreads') which also suggests ability to be 're-assembled' or 'salvaged'.

ANYWAY...THE IMPORTANT PARTS....

It is possible that the role of both autobots and decepticons have been increased to offset Insecticons (CL). One of our investigators could be scum.

Questions:

1) Why is Adam the only one who cliamed 'off the bat' and is the only one who saw "a burst of energy" directed toward liv?

which leads to the next question...

2) Why is liv still alive ...at least for today anyway ('poisoner' anyone?)...check wiki.

3) Why have Gonzo and Kael not given names (full claim)?..suspicious but I think only one 'might' be scum. We could have a combination of paranoid or naive cop and witnesses(s).

Another thing to keep in mind is that, if he were telling the truth, a 'false read' could possibly happen if slim were invisible, as he claims, because there would be 'nothing to see'...but the lag time in role claim makes me suspicious as does the name he gave...

Also...considering the way things went down over the past 10 pages I wouldn't negate the possibility of a 'traitor' in our midst...with fewer investigative roles.

I will honestly say that there would be no way to start this massive role claiming runaway train witout exposing roles and vulnerabilities (limitations on actions) of one or more autobots...valuable info for decepticons. Adam coming out swinging this way makes me equally suspicious. Why not hang back a second and see if town moved slim or crumb's direction for lynch before this bold (possibly stupid) move? I could see myself jumping in with both feet like that but not you, Adam. Not to mention that your 'action' apparently does not reveal allegiance to either side. So how would you have known informing liv of this attempt at her life was a wise move?

What if we have a bus driver who switched liv and demi...Demi fires at liv and blasts herself due to the switch? (could have possibly happened)

Furthermore, I have a hard time conceiving more than one vigilante...that's just too crazy unless someone can explain how that would still be reatively balanced. That sounds like a potentially short game to me.

Still waiting for Gonzo and Kael to give more info.

If their ability to kill were limited in some way there could be more than one. They could have a limited number of kills or their ability to kill could be limited by their targets power rating. Something like that.
