As Louis Brandeis said long ago, we can have democracy or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both. Great concentrations of wealth in the hands of a few was what the U.S. was all about at the beginning, and after some pushback, the great concentrations thing won out many generations ago. That being true, just like all the hoops you have to jump through to board a commercial airliner are more security theater than actual security, national elections are more democracy theater than actual democracy. There'll definitely be a presidential election in 2024. How much will be pure theater is the thing.

He’s not getting in now. Hes out. I believed he was the best candidate because he was the most moral family man. But I’m not so gullible to believe he won it have turned into a sleazy politician. It’s the nature of the beast in Washington. It would really do my heart good if the majority of the US population would be one so disillusioned and stop voting and have nothing to do with that Sham.
