Hm. That's interesting. I see them both in the feed and in the forum. (I also just noticed that Thanks now appear at the bottom of the post, with a little picture of either praying hands or an awkward high-five.)

Also, the new Tapatalk interface really sucks and I hate it.

I still don't know what version I'm using; there used to be a paid and unpaid version, but then they switched to all free, which was a nice fuck you to people who bought the app. I don't remember whether I bought it or used the free one, but there are now Ford F150 ads in my feed. I think I'm about ready to walk away from Tapatalk.

iOS 8.1.3, Tapatalk 3.5.1, which was rolled out three days ago. The announce for 3.5 acknowledged that the new UI sucks.

Which is or was a separate app from "Tapatalk". Which I was annoyed about because I had paid for the original Tapatalk, then they made it all free, then they removed functionality from it with an update while simultaneously releasing Tapatalk Pro which required another purchase and had a worse UI at the time. Perhaps they added ads into the free version at a later date.

However, the current UI for Tapatalk Pro is now better than the original and has no ads.

But yeah, there was some shitty behavior of actually degrading what had previously been purchased.

But on the other hand, as far as functionality, Tapatalk Pro version that I have isn't perfect, but it is still the best version so far I think. It might be that they want you to pay more money to get the version that doesn't have the issues you're complaining about which is, you know, shitty. Either that or the iOS version is quite a bit behind the Android version, because I remember the praying hands but they got rid of those and replaced them with the thumbs up like... at least a couple years ago.

Then again, I don't currently use it for anything but since I really only go on two forums and one isn't available on Tapatalk anyway. Maybe I'd find more to complain about if I used other forums/wanted a feed drawn from multiple forums, etc.

I started getting the Ford truck ads before the more recent update ( Ford F150!)

Then, with the update, it first of all had some super-heinous license agreement so I didn't use it for a while, but then I accidentally did and yeah, it sucks even worse than ever. The display is shitty in a bunch of ways I'm not going to articulate, and fuck that license agreement OMG I forget what specifically was terrible about it, but I remember it was.

The truck ads haven't shown up for me since then, but that was the least of the problems with it.

That little clapping emoji for your Thanks is to lol, Chuck. I mean, I hate emojis on general principle anyway, but every time I see an example of an emoji that displays differently on different platforms, it seems like iOS is the dumbest looking. Therefore.

In conclusion, everything sucks, but most especially Tapatalk, emojis, Ford F150s, Apple, and ChuckF.

The feed hasn't had anything new in it since 2/6 (this contents of the feed are identical to the threads that are "trending"), and the top post in the feed is some Tapatalk forum post from 2/10. I remember before being able to adjust the settings for the default display, so it would go to FF's main page first, and I wouldn't have to go through the feed page, and the prompt to sign into Tapatalk (??) to get to the forum page. Now I can't find those settings again, and it just keeps prompting me to sign in with Facebook or Google+, which I also don't have.

erimir, I think you are right about the Tapatalk Pro thing, but I think Tapatalk Pro doesn't exist as a separate thing anymore. I remember buying Tapatalk for like $1.99 because it was on sale, and then they came out with Pro after that and I was annoyed because I had just bought it, and now it's back to just one dumb Tapatalk for everybody, so I guess that version that I paid for that actually worked ok is gone. I never got Tapatalk Pro, but if you have it, don't delete it or replace it with the current Tapatalk.

Again I don't know about what you can do on the Apple's the iOS, but on the Android you can put widgets and shortcuts and things on your home screen. So on my home screen, there is a link directly to Tapatalk (it even displays the logo) that takes me right to unread posts on and I never go through these screens you are talking about.

Why is it so bad on Apple?

Interesting ... the 'like' icon on Moosie's Europeforum is a heart, not the yellow thumb on . Maybe likes and thanks are different concepts to tapatalk? Or maybe it just randomly selects icons per forum?

I don't think "like" actually does anything forum-side, at least on , unless it maybe subscribes you to the thread or something (I thought that was the star icon - I don't use that one either though). Maybe that is a different functionality in a different version of vBulletin or something.

I don't mean the like button in tapatalk but the like feature in the browser interface to said forum. This other feature in tapatalk is something I have not yet (dared to) play with.

So I had to get a replacement phone and I find that the old version of Tapatalk will not work for me, so I download the new version.

Surprise! Even though I paid for the ad-free version last time (and I had previously paid even more for the original version), they now want to serve me ads unless I pay up again (except now it's a monthly fee).

I sent them my receipts from before, so I guess we'll see whether they will actually grandfather me in.

I just updated the Tapatalk plug-in to the latest (4.11.3) at the urging of Tapatalk, but I don't use Tapatalk so I don't know how to test whether Tapatalk is working correctly. Please let me know!
