It was a suggestion. Get the pan as hot as you dare on the stove (without burning the anti-stick coating). Then put some crushed ice on the pan cover, trying not to let it come into contact with the pan itself.
The heat-expanded pan and cold-contracted lid should provide enough clearance to free the lock.
