986,722 No kidding, I remember going to a party in Hollywood Hills put on by some music business (1979 I believe was the year). Pot everywhere and they even had a room set aside for people to snort their coke, so they wouldn't tie up the bathrooms.
If they drug tested the people in the music business, most everyone would not pass.

They're nice to have around for sure.
It almost-- almost--made up for their presence during the greater part of my four-day weekend.

Coke I've never done. Pot, yep!
Was always afraid to try coke when I had the chance. I've read of people dying from it for not possessing the *enzymes*???? needed to break it down. Was always afraid to tempt fate.

I tried it (coke) in my younger, stupider days. Considering I have a slight heart defect, it was particularly stupid in my case. I still don't quite get the appeal; the bang-per-buck ratio is ridiculously low.

Re: Countdown from one million thread
I have zero interest in doing coke. I never have had it, never have wanted to. (The first husband tried to talk me into it. Said it would make sex better. But I ask you: how much better could it get?)
In fact, I think weed will remain the only thing I'm interested in. It's like ... beer that I can actually stomach. Or something.

Meh, I already had weed. Granted, most of it was so old from non-use that it had turned to powder. They at least got me jumpstarted into not letting the new stuff I'd bought get old.

Re: Countdown from one million thread
986,716 I never understood coke either, I've done it several times but just because people offered it too me. Weed is definately better bang-for-the-buck.
Sharon, I smoked one of those pipes on a Greyhound bus one time. Some dude from Cali offered me some tokes. (this was in the day when the back of the bus was for smokers) Nobody complalined or even seemed to notice that we were smoking pot.

The only time I've done weed is when it has been offered to me by others. I've never bought any myself.
More of like a social drug.

That's what BIL explained to me. He even gave me a demonstration, taking a huge toke then tucking it into his pocket. No smoke anywhere except what came out his mouth. It was an impressive feat, I thought. (But then, I was stoned at the time of the demonstration. )

You know you've been posting too much in the countdown thread when you go post in other threads and look for the last number that was posted. Then feel like you still should post a number.
Oh that is so cute, Kev! Great photo.

I found it interesting recently, when looking at the inspiration for this thread — the one on Moosey's forum — that they're over 10,000 posts behind us here. And they started first.

986,705 They are a smaller forum. It's not surprising. Someone should start one of these at a very large forum and see how long it takes them to surpass us. I don't know how many would allow it though.

Greetings from the library. I got computer number 5. I'm here to load up.
Any suggestions? I don't care for science fiction. Murder mysteries bore me most times. I do, however, enjoy a good adventure.

No wind today.
Oh well, we had a nice picnic by the lighthouse instead. Tomorrow we are going to try kayaking, unless there is a lot of wind, then we will go kiting. That should cover all our bases.
