The 'calendar' link you posted takes us to a page where we're asked to enter one of those 'CAPTCHA' (confirm you are a human) things.

When a website advises me to check for viruses, they're either malicious or misguided.
"Temporary access to the web property"? Who talks like that? Digital marketing shills.

Re: Miscellany
The weird tax one I would actually like.
You know, lisapea, I take back the photo of the matlok tag. The recycled calendars are a really good idea!

Re: Miscellany
I have NoScript set to block everything. But I enabled scripts for the site itself (and only the site) and could see the calendar. No Captcha garbage necessary.

Re: Miscellany
Thank you. I was deeply offended by that photo.
Matlock's fancy car that he uses to impress the ladies is a base model Honda fit, in raspberry blue. It's actually really cute.

Re: Miscellany
Oh, those are really nice. I might actually get one or two. The one for The Origin of Species might look good in my office, for example.
I have to nitpick the Tarzan of the Apes poster, as it shows Tarzan swinging from a vine. Burroughs was quite clear in the book that Tarzan does not swing from tree to tree via vines; he brachiates. That makes a lot more sense as a means of locomotion through a jungle canopy, though it would require a fantastic amount of upper body strength in a human, since our arms aren't built for it, like a gibbon's arms are.
Despite what the "Tarzan" movies suggest, liana vines grow from the ground up, not from the canopy down. Thus, any free-hanging vine Tarzan should happen to encounter would almost-certainly be dead, and would either break or detach the moment Tarzan grabbed it and tried to swing. That would make for a short but exciting movie, as Tarzan would then plummet to his death.

Re: Miscellany
Maybe Tarzan could brachiate around the jungle regularly preparing his routes? He would tie fresh vines to strong branches and cut down any vines past their sell-by-date.
