no, not those kind. I played drums in a few bands in high school, but the drum classes I'm going to be taking is an exploration of different drums of the world.
I was in the Fair Trade* shop on Main Street today, and I was looking at the different drums, and a woman who works there asked if I was interested. I explained to her that I was contemplating getting some bongos. They're a very primitive way to channel energy, get to your inner beat. She handed me her card. She gives classes. LOL. What luck!!! I sent her an e-mail, and now I'm just waiting to hear back. The great thing is, the classes are from 7-9, Friday nights, which is perfect for a person like me, with no social life.

*The Fair Trade shop is a small independent store, where everything in the store is hand made, with a good portion of the money going right back into the hands of the women who made the product. Earrings, clothing, shoes, purse, all kinds of wonderfully crafted and very, very beautiful items. And, the prices are incredibly reasonable. 15.00 for a scarf for my Mom. Each item has the name of the country from which it came.
