Re: 2016 Presidential Race
Take America back from who?
Who took it away?
Was it the black man?
Also I hope the fact that he announced at the "Galt Hotel" wasn't meant as an Ayn Rand reference

I'm now imagining Rand Paul holding the constitution in two hands and ripping it apart.
And throwing away the parts he doesn't like. Because they're not constitutional.

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
It struck me that all of these stout constitution based libertarians really love the judiciary decision making corporations people.
The problem is that no matter who gets selected, no matter what wacky antics they will all eventually align to.
Maybe, one day, in 100 years or so, one president will have the gonads to stand up and charge one corporation for slavery and cannibalism after a buyout.

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
I'd rather have Rand Paul as president than the Mexican guy from Canada who represents Texas.
If only to potentially have a president that says, "Wait a minute, why are we fighting overseas again?"
Then he'd help push through legislation with the teaheads and republicans that polarized the states through "state's rights". Gay states, christian states, anti-gun states, anti-gay states, no big soda states, pothead states, no abortion states, open carry states, etc., etc. What a pile of suck that would be trying to travel around the country.
I'd have to make sure to move my retirement funds as far away from his free market as possible after the initial surge of tax breaks and deregulation.

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
For a minute there I thought I had even more reason to hate Rand Paul. But a quick search shows me that song isn't actually anti-Detroit at all.
He's still a scumbag, though.

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
Rick Santorum, the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex, will be the next President of America, if he can overcome the small obstacle of his constitutional ineligibility.

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
Did y'all get your Rand-Bans before your candidate for Plagiarist of the US pulled them?
Quote:
One picture on Paul's website showed President John F. Kennedy wearing the iconic glasses atop his head next to a picture of Paul with a similar pair of glasses.
“I can hear Senator Bentsen now, ‘I knew Jack Kennedy and you're no Jack Kennedy,’ ” a caption on the site said. “Well, you and I may not be Jack Kennedy, but Rand likes Raybans and now we can all own Rand branded Raybans.”
“$150 is more than you might normally pay for sunglasses, but these are Raybans and even more, they are indelibly marked with the Rand Brand ... and as always, it's a contribution to the Rand Paul for President campaign,” the site said.
|
But:
Quote:
Ray-Ban has asked Sen. Rand Paul’s presidential campaign to quit selling the brand’s Wayfarer sunglasses
|
Fortunately, MSNBC says
Quote:
there is still plenty of Paul 2016 merchandise being sold on the campaign store’s site, including “Rand on a stick” ($35) “Hillary’s hard drive” ($99.95) and a copy of the United States Constitution autographed by Paul (for a whopping $1,000).

Re: 2016 Presidential Race
I'll be happy if Hillary can prevail, becuz woman president for a change! It will be nice to have that as a chapter of the Democrat Party legacy. Wishing she was genuinely more of an Elizabeth Warren type is really asking too much? I don't think there would be a realistic chance of Warren getting elected? How many question marks is too many? I shall have to consult the divination by smiley thrad.

You could get your wish fulfilled by President Carly Fiorina, the HP CEO-FAIL.
