Well, no. The GOP doesn't want to reduce the number of abortions (especially not for their own no-contraception voters).

It only wants to increase the difficulty and worry, and to further extend the police state so they can selectively attack their opponents. This doesn't threaten that.

2 reasons I make this post.

1. If you are at all unsure of what a cuckold is, see Eric Seesaw. Or whatev.

2. This is a prime example of how progressives work. Take a situation. Create a false scenario. Believe that false scenario. Then work vigorously to oppose the fantasy.

Maybe they should show something that really happened, like 20 FBI agents raiding a home with guns drawn yelling and screaming at a person who had already offered to peacefully turn himself in while their 7 kids look on in horror. All for defending his 12 year old son with a push that caused no injuries.

Actually, my dear, there are already laws being drawn up in several states that could lead to that very thing.
Here in Colorado, our very own Cory Gardener championed a law that would have allowed for, and even required homicide investigation for any termination of pregnancy, accidental or otherwise.

If that does not scare you, you're not thinking it through.

Meanwhile, in actual reality,

NO ONE is being arrested for fire bombing and vandalizing Pregnancy Centers and ONLY pro-life people are being arrested by the DOJ for exercising their right to peaceably assemble.

My dear.

and I'm not saying that you're lying, perhaps your very own Cory G is championing ridiculous laws. But there is no way in hell that a law would be passed criminalizing women for having miscarriages. If you believe that, you're the one not thinking things through.

There have been a number of states whose legislatures have had similar bills put forth. So far, none have passed, but it is still on the wish list for a number of "Pro-Life" lawmakers. And with RvW out of the way, for now, it will likely come up in at least one state in the next year.

So far, you are right. It has not happened, yet. But then, until this year, Roe V Wade had not been overturned, either, and many conservatives said that it would not be. (Including three recent members of the US Supreme Court. )

"I investigated this a bit and [I still can't say it wasn't a miscarriage]."

These are things that have happened under Roe v. Wade.

You think these aren't going to become more commonplace as they start passing laws restricting or completely banning abortion? How do you suppose they will enforce those laws? If they want to stop women from using abortion pills at home, what do you suppose that leads to for women who miscarry/begin to miscarry at home?

Like your whole justificatory bit there suggesting about her being a drug user and being ambivalent about the pregnancy - if a woman miscarries at home, how do we know she didn't cause it? If she ever said she wasn't sure about having a baby, then that'll be used as evidence against her. 10 to 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, and you can be sure plenty of those women expressed ambivalence about the pregnancy before it spontaneously aborted (that's medical terminology for "miscarried"). But now that could be used to claim they actually aborted the pregnancy instead.

But hey, you can't believe they would do that, so I guess it's all made up.

Guess what? This isn't going to only affect liberal sluts, despite your delusions that those misogynists only hate other women and not you too.

We do live in a country that locked women up for giving birth to premies under the guise of the fabricated ‘crack baby’ epidemic. Women have been locked up for the act of giving birth to a living baby that survives, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t lock up a woman for having a dead baby instead.

Speaking of ‘banging meth’, here’s a case of a woman in prison for 18 years due to a still birth, despite the death of the baby being undetermined, she was found guilty.

Yeah that’s terrible. After doing more research I’ve found that there are around 1300 of these rulings from 2006-2020 and more still since 1973. I don’t like it mostly because there is no way of knowing whether these still births were intentionally caused by the mother and that autopsy reports are not conclusive. Which is why I was wondering about Britany P.s record and if she has prior offenses. That could have factored in to why they charged her

But anyway since these cases have been going on since 1973, I fail to see the slippery slope.

Read the whole article, not just the hook. I linked that one instead of just a news report because it goes into detail about the ongoing issue of women who've been punished for all types of pregnancy-related problems.

I don’t have a problem with shifting your perspective or changing your mind based on new evidence, that’s laudable but that’s not what you are doing.

Your initial position was, it’s not an issue because it will never happen.

Then you shifted all the way to wow I can’t believe that happened.

And finally, you ended up at

It’s not a big deal because it happens a lot.

I guess you could get points for not denying obvious facts, but you didn’t change your position.

I also don’t think it should be laudable to not deny obvious facts.

I don’t expect you to change your mind, if you cared about facts you wouldn’t have the belief system you have.
