If I were to choose a Voyager avatar, it would be T'Pol. 7 of 9 is probably more of my personality, though. I frighten my students, at times.

You remember what happened when Seven was put in charge of the children! It's right there in your title! :shudder:

Yes, I do, but, ultimately, she did a fine job. Look at how Echeb turned out. :yup:

...and she was also a good teacher and friend to Naomi Wildman (subunit of Ensign Wildman).

The truth thing was something that my students really liked. As in when they asked me if a post op transsexual could have biological children.

I think they were looking for a question that would fluster me. They've never found it.

You're my kind of teacher. I had an abusive one in sixth grade, and after that I wasn't at all trusting...or motivated.
When I look back, I find that my favorite teacher was tough, but fair, and honest. I could tell that she cared about me, and I could trust her.

I'll bet they were hoping to fluster you. LOL

Just finished the double 'Unamatrix 0'.

Not exactly action packed, but for some reason I find it satisfying and it was nice to see Seven with her hair down and a soft expression  .

---------------

On a different note,

Anyone else frustrated by the repeated detours back in time made by the current writers?

ie. 'Enterprise' and now the coming movie taking it's story from Kirk's early days.

One of the predominant reasons I watch/ed Star-Trek is because of the progression, new species new technology and the like come into it, but it was the federations advancement that really hooked me.

I want to blooming see 'time ships' being used and 'Borg' / 'Species 8472' beating tech advancements created, entirely 'non-corporeal crewmen', ships 'powered by living beings' and I want to actually see some time taken over these things not just have it all sailing in and out.

Not that I didn't enjoy 'Enterprise', but archer and his crew muddling through time wars with minimal information just doesn't do it for me so much.

With all that financial/brand backing and a literal universe of possibilities it seems a bit half arsed? :deepsigh:

*cough*

Logan

I notice any substantive content in the OP was removed for being "bad information". Since I didn't see this information before it was removed, I can only assume it was falsified empirical evidence of Star Trek's awesomeness.

Have you no shame, Ensign Steve?

:shiftier:

No, I had posted a link to a startrek.com article, and my little blurb about what it said was way off base and had nothing to do with the article. It was real early in the morning and I was still wiping the sleep out of my eyes. But since we can't delete posts, I just changed the subject to something I knew to be absolutely true.

I used to dream about Worf.

Now when I hear Michael Dorn do voice work, I am at complete attention.

Next Generation rules, Voyager is underrated, DS9 is overrated. That is all.

I don't know why Terry Farrell looks like she combed her hair with an eggbeater, but she's beautiful. I'll just imagine Michael threw her in the pool earlier that night.
