Re: Things We Lost In The Fire
The fires begin
Many many fires, all at once
Fires are covered with snow
Fires are over
It's just a coincidence all the fires started with no lightning involved, and they all started next to a road
Hey, lets blame climate change!

O sweet summer child, funny thing about unchecked monopoly capitolism. It can be bad for not only climate, but forest managment, transportation infrastructure, power infrastructure, price gouging for shareholders on basic needs (water, air, housing, food) ALL AT THE SAME TIME. But sure pick those cherries.

I think I understand the "Colorado man" thread now
Quote:
In August of 2023, a month before Jager and Esch reached their plea agreements with prosecutors, this unidentified male co-conspirator escaped from prison. This triggered a nationwide manhunt and caused Esch and his family "to go into hiding," as stated in a court document. Two weeks after the escape, the co-conspirator was found dead.

There's a goddamn story in there somewhere.
Not just tampering with the data, but the instruments themselves! And a dead fugitive. With no details.

Re: Things We Lost In The Fire
Mom's park had to be evacuated last weekend. She was already home anyway for family reasons, but she did get on the road to go in to the park and pick up her stuff. Fortunately the road got closed and she had to turn around. I would have been real mad to find she got burned up trying to rescue her teddy bear.
