Yeah, they don't like folks that don't speak French.
I've been to Canada a lot for my job, though I could never tell the guy at the port of entry that I was coming to do work (They hate that)
Never met any unfriendly Canadians. Well, except when I was in Calgary. Those folks can get cranky. Their a lot like Republicans.
Used to be engaged to a Quebec girl, until she dumped me for a Hockey player.

Actually, I'm not. Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. In fact, I grew up with next-door neighbors who were an older Quebecois couple -- heavily accented, obv their 1st language was French -- and they were sweethearts (the lady was sweet to a fault, while the man did get salty about lawn maintenance on occasion). Their granddaughter & her family now own the house, nice folks as well. I'm still operating under the theory that business vs. personal mannerisms are starkly different. Or, possibly, that there's some sort of animosity toward contract negotiation in particular.
