I guess that is not surprising. I don't know why it's hard for me to grasp that in the UK. He's just such a twat. His whole career has been being a twat. I know who the Cucker fans are in the US and for some reason I have a hard time transposing them to Britain outside of BNP and Britain First assholes. And intellectually I know that there are people who listen to Nigel fucking Farage, but for some reason I extend the benefit of the doubt to the UK. Maybe it is the accent.

Yeah, it's like marginally better here and heading the way of the US quickly. We live in Lincolnshire, one of the more racist parts of the country. Our county had the highest leave vote % in the UK, something like 78%. I guarantee you Trump could win an election in Lincolnshire. I've had people tell me directly that Farage is a smart guy and speaks the truth. They are specifically talking about immigrants.... to. an. immigrant. But it's OK, I'm the right kind of immigrant *wink wink*.

I didn't watch the Oprah interview thing, so I don't know exactly what Meghan claimed, but I've been confused about the media coverage of the 'racism' of some unnamed royal asking about the baby's possible skin colour.

It's still okay to speculate about an unborn baby's gender - or is that sexist now?

And I think it's still acceptable to speculate about the unborn child's future interests: might she be musical, artistic, sporty? That kind of thing.

But apparently it's taboo to speculate about the baby's skin colour. Is it racist just to think about that, or do you only become a racist if you put those thoughts into words?

The fuller quote I vaguely remember reading somewhere on social media was someone in the Royal Fam - apparently not Prince Philip, although he seems the most likely - speculating on the colour of the baby and whether it would have to be excluded from the line of succession if too dark.

I think Archie is about seventh in line at the moment, and will fall further back if William has any more kids, or when William becomes a grandfather.

They altered the rules fairly recently so that only the age and not the gender of the children determines their place. Princess Anne comes after Randy Andy and Edward, although she's older - but William's second child, Charlotte, is ahead of his third, Louis, even though Charlotte is a girl!

The colour thing - the first thing I thought when I heard she was pregnant was - I hope it's a little brown baby with red hair!

I was having a conversation with someone - and we wondered what colour the baby would be? could the gene slot machine spin and pull out a totally black baby? would a girl be more dark and a boy be more light?

Maybe this huge race bomb that was dropped in the interview as just someone asking a stupid question? and they ran with it to further their cause.
