The drugs are coming to the United States because this is where the demand is. Doesn't matter where they are made, they will still make it here one way or another. The demand is the real problem.

The amount of fentanyl seized is enough to kill every single American. But, I guess sinice it's just a matter of supply and demand it's all good. Fuck it. Same logic is used by parents who let their 14 year olds drink alcohol at home because 'they're just gonna do it somewhere else' they may as well get drunk with mom and dad.

Let's apply that logic to guns. There is a demand. If legislation is passed limiting or banning the sale of guns, demand is going up. The supply here will be limited or outlawed. Maybe China and Mexico are proficient in sending us anything that's illegal. If it comes down to making a buck, maybe they can send us more machine guns.

I mentioned this in the tv entertainment thread, but Netflix has a series similar to Dopesick called Painkiller which is pretty ruthless when it comes to the Sacklers . I still recommend the books by Sam Quinones , Dream Land and The Least of Us which are a mixture of personal stories, scientific facts and factual information about how drug dealing cells were set up in American cities, the most vulnerable being targeted, all courtesy of an insecure Southern border. The Sacklers need to be punished to the fullest extent, but we cannot blame only them. A very unpopular opinion but I care for the oppressed people. Those being drug addicted Americans.
