I'm glad someone is saying it.

I'd do it myself, but I'm not conversant in the tax stuff and don't feel like reading up on it just so I can complain on the internet about some guy.

But I do know that nobody earns a billion dollars. And unless you inherit it or something, you'd have to be fundamentally defective to acquire that much for yourself. Any reasonable, sane, remotely empathetic person would recognize early on that they had enough, and would either retire or figure out how to better distribute profits well before they reached that first billion. So we know that a person like that is not doing anything out of sheer good will. They do not have the capacity for that.

I'm sure we'd all like to be able to pick and choose what our taxes go toward, but only the super-wealthy have that option. Money's fungible, anyway. It's not like congress is going to cut back on funding the military. So it'd be fair to assume the taxes these 'philanthropists' don't pay are coming out of our infrastructure and social safety net.
