I'm so glad you let us know you are not a complete shill for Elon Musk. Otherwise, it would be very hard to tell.

Re: X
The real question, is throwing away $44B because he thought he could do it better than anyone else despite what the experts said worthy of the First Annual Stockton Rush Award? Or does someone actually need to die?

Maybe.

Re: X
Indeed, I’m sure the DMs and private information of dissidents is worth at least something to dictators and foreign governments. If he hasn’t sold that already. His land grab take overs of multiple twitter accounts has already shown he considers all of twitter his property to do with as he feels.

That worst part about that, is it actually is his property.

Re: X
True, but the overwhelming majority of Twitter shareholders voted to accept pussyboy's $54.20 buyout offer. Ain't no more publicly available Shitter stock.

Perhaps. But now, ol' Elon owns it lock, stock and babble.

Re: X
Only a dictator or a dunce would presume the things hosted on their service are also theirs, which is of course why I presume he will sell the database to others if he hasn’t already done so.
As proof of my psychic abilities, I’m predicting the headline “Whistlerblower claims Musk used access at X to cyberstalk his now Ex girlfriend.” Will appear at some point if Twitterx doesn’t completely fold in under 2 years.

Re: X
Yup, while some companies have tried to add rights grabs into their contracts they’re almost always challenged, and most only own the rights as required to host and reproduce the content on their server.
While the harsh reality is that whoever has the most money generally wins, courts have been reasonably adamant that the only way to automatically sign over copyright of a work is to produce the work while on the clock or otherwise exclusively employed, like say, by Disney. Otherwise in the US the copyright of works like writing, art, non AI generated memes, belongs solely to the creator unless otherwise signed over with some form of remittance changing hands.

Re: X
Selective quoting to misrepresent the statements, specifically to eliminate the distinction between Ari's "why I presume he will sell the database to others" and the FF policy "FF has no right to reprint or profit from it without your permission".
But we already knew you're dishonest.

So, lost the ability to associate "X" with "Twitter," and thought we needed a SECOND thread?

default if someone is set to ignore is to ignore threads by as well. The number of regular posters who cannot see this thread is unknown, and if that matters to anyone who wishes to make a post on the topic, they should use the original thread.

Re: X
X just allowed something to happen that hasn't ever happened before.
It's quite amazing.

No it doesn’t, it still shows the thread just without a first post.
