The world is a slightly better place thanks to the passing of racist gasbag Gallagher.

I saw Gallagher when I was 14. He opened for Melissa Manchester, and at the time her song Don’t Cry Out loud was my fave. My friend and I got there early and we were in front of the stage. After he was done with his act and between when Melissa Manchester came out. My friend and I, both 14 , peeked backstage and saw him. And he saw us. And I read his face. He felt guilty that girls our age saw his show. I could SEE it on his face.
Maybe it might be a wise thing, when someone leaves this earth, to refrain from negative comments. Because, I mean really, you don’t know them personally. And you certainly don’t know any of their personal regrets.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I've known far too many awful excuses for human beings who've eaten it to apply an automatic "respect for the dead" rule.
In any event, I do not now claim, and never have claimed, to possess anything resembling wisdom.

I saw Gallagher once as a teenager, I remember absolutely nothing of his set and found it strange/amusing that people seemed to be excited to sit in the splash zone, and were given curtesy ponchos. I think the sight of more than a few peopled dressed up like they were going to the Opera, but also knowingly sitting in the splash zone was funnier than anything he did on stage.
It was as finely balanced as the outcome of the 2022 elections; but someone who's the subject of a Hollywood film doesn't really belong in my "never heard of" thread.
Bra William Henke died in his sleep at 56. Sleep apnea maybe. Anyway he was an NFL retiree and was on Orange is the New Black and justified. I’m on my phone and am challenged as to posting the article
