And, rather obviously, I vote YES to my own proposal, in case that matters.

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
Actually, I want to change the voting on mission proposals. The previous proposal allowed some members to skate by without voting and it also encourages the spies to wait on voting until the issue is deciding.
Proposal 2.2(i.e. Mission 2, Proposal 2) - JEROME, Gonzo, and Adam
Please PM your votes to me Yes or No for this proposal.

Nothing concrete, but JEROME's repeated calls to sort him out tweak me a bit. I'm not 100% opposed to sending him.

OK, the spies know each other. ANyway, this blows, I have to go to work now.

Wait, what, then how can we see how players are voting, this is an advantage for the Spies.

Yah, that seems like it might rob us of some info. Are you going to publish the votes after they're made? PM sent.

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
I will present the votes publicly after I get them all. I think this is the best way to replicate the actual game where everyone picks their votes without seeing the votes of the others. I will take Jerome's and Kael's votes from here this time. But I think the resistance team would do better if we use the PM vote system.
I'm just waiting on Gonzo's vote now.

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
OK I guess, but this is a definite advantage for the Spies. The order of players votes, when they placed their vote, this can be telling.

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
Being able to duck votes or make meaningless votes would be a much bigger advantage for the spies.
Why has Gonzo abandoned us?

It's sufficiently ambiguous. We = each individual player. At that point wasn't clear on if the spies knew each other.

So the question is, me, Adam, or SR71?

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
The mission was sabotaged from the inside! MISSION 2: FAILED
Mission | Result | Votes | Players |
---|
1 | Success | 2S | Gonzo, Jerome | 2 | FAILED | 2S, 1F | JEROME, Gonzo, and Adam | 3 | | | | 4 | | | | 5 | | | |
Our leader is now Gonzo. For mission 3 we need a team of 2.
# | Player | Mission 3 |
---|
1 | Adam | | 2 | SR71 | | 3 | Kael | | 4 | Gonzo | *Leader* | 5 | Jerome | |

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
Come on, somebody accuse me so I can point out that it would make absolutely no sense for me to suggest that plan if I knew it was going to incriminate me.

It's still all guess work. Send Gonzo and Jerome again. That worked once.

Yeah, but that's just part of your long-con scheme, see? I'm on to you...
So, I think it's safe to assume that either Gonzo or Jerome is a spy, though of course we can't completely dismiss the possibility that Adam is (see 'long-con' above).
It's also still possible that some combination of two of the three are spies, but I think this is unlikely if they're not allowed to coordinate directly.
So, do we send the two that haven't gone yet, myself and SR71, or do we grill the three and try to pick out which ones are more likely to be spies?

Re: The Resistance - Game Thread
Right now we know at least one of three is a spy. If we send Gonzo and Jerome again, and it succeeds, we can pretty well clear those two. Then we just have to pick one more loyal operative, and it's in the bag. This seems the clearest path forward.
