Television What are we watching this Fall, y'all?

Heroes - I have finally decided to give it the boot. (Yes, I mean it this time! :glare:) Instead I shall follow up on my threat to watch A&E's Intervention if both continue to air on Monday nights.

Lost - I can't believe I'm saying this but I will be tuning in again this year. (Yeah, it's not coming in time for fall but I'm counting it, anyway. :xp:) Last year was such an improvement over prior seasons that I can't wait to see what they do with it next.

Okay, so much for the returning stuff. What about the new?

FlashForward - I read the book this is based on so I have to watch it. I want to see how TPTB handle the whole everybody-gets-a-glimpse-of-the-future thing. I can guess how they could screw it up but I have to tune in to see whether they do.

----
Other than that one thing, I have no idea what other new non-reality TV programs might be worth watching. Please tell me about some!

OMG I was just about to start a Top Chef thread!

So far I am watching Top Chef and Mad Men. They've both been back about 2 or 3 weeks already.

I will also be watching Heroes and Lost. The former with some trepidation, the latter with much anticipation. OMG! The Incident! Juliet! The Nuke! :freakout:

Dollhouse is still in, obvs.

30 Rock and The Office are my sitcoms.

I don't have my eye on any new shows so far.

I am continuing my moratorium on reality shows (Top Chef excepted), and I haven't had the stomach for The Daily Show or The Colbert Report since all this death panel shit started.

I think that's it for me? Oh yeah! House.

Edit: And football.

God, how could I have forgotten Dollhouse? (May Whedon forgive me.)

I just need to know if every weeknight will have a show I must catch. Also, I hope none of the good stuff comes on Wednesday night; I'll be in skool!

Anyway, off to check those links ...

I'll be watching college football on Saturdays....commercial television only.

I don't know of much returning or anything new that has particularly caught my interest enough for me to assure that I will watch.

Start that Top Chef thread, Ensign and I'll be there with bells on. :eager:

Ditto on Dollhouse, The Office, 30 Rock, plus my old Law & Order stalwarts, despite their increasing suckitude. I'm looking forward to seeing the first full season of Lie To Me.

For new shows I'm watching Glee and Community. For reality, Project Runway and the afore mentioned Top Chef, but my number one favorite -- which I'm already watching because PBS doesn't do seasons like network tv -- is History Detectives. I'm not sure it counts as reality, though. It doesn't have some retarded contest or anything.

eta So You Think Can Dance is doing a fall season for the first time. I'm all over that.

I forgot Hell's Kitchen. I don't know if it would count as a "fall" show, since it's on right now, but there are a number of contestants left.

I hope Kitchen Nightmares is coming back. I like seeing Ramsay helping these families, after yelling at the morons on HK.

I'm curious to check out Community because I love Joel McHale on The Soup. Other than that Amazing Race, Biggest Loser and the Office are my shows. I told Malloch that it's the perfect time of year to be getting more pregnant and have an excuse to sit on my ass in front of the t.v. :giggle:

Already watching History Detectives, great show. I will be watching House this season. I missed most of it last season and didn't know that what's his name had killed himself until last nights rerun where they mentioned it. I'd like to check out Fast Forward too.

Wow, you're like the one person who didn't get spoiled for it. They announced it the morning before it aired on like Good Morning America or some shit. :shakefist:

So far

Dexter
Lie to Me
Dollhouse
So You Think You can Dance
Top Chef
Brothers and Sisters

I enjoyed the previous incarnations of V, so may catch the new one. Glee has gotten a lot of press so will probably try it.

Grey's Anatomy jumped the shark some time ago, but I watched last season anyway and it sucked. Off my list this year. I don't have time for even my planned line up.

I also watch a lot of HGTV and NOVA and some history and science shows if they look interesting.

A lot of the shows I like are over. No more BSG or Pushing Daisies for me. I'm pretty much down to Lost. Heroes, and Chuck. I don't usually watch sitcoms, but I caught some of Better Off Ted last season and enjoyed it, so I'll probably watch that as well. It reminds me of Andy Richter Controls the Universe, minus Andy Richter. Also, I fully expect to continue recording, but not watching, Doll House, and the roommate watches all those reality cooking shows, so I'll probably inadvertently watch some of them. Oh, and I want to watch whatever episode of Smallville the Wonder Twins show up in so I can giggle at them. Stuff like The Daily Show goes without saying, of course.

Other than Stewart and Colbert, I'm pretty much adrift and showless these days. I'll probably follow 24 just for the snark value.
