I may make a version of this for my office.

Damn, it's been a long time since I watched an animal masturbate on youtube. Last time was that gorilla fucking the frog. The audio track with the crying child traumatized me for life.

Re: Miscellany
So a member of Kiddo's bio family had to have a chemo port inserted, and she started crashing like 3 times due to an anesthesia reaction, so they finally did it with her totally conscious.
On her mom's Facebook update, all these people were like "Praise God!" and "God is good" and the most baffling "Prayers answered!". Um, WTF were you praying for that 3 failed attempts and finally surgery while conscious was a good answer?
I don't want them praying for me, ever.

Re: Miscellany
Now, now. God's been busy calling plays for Timmy Tebow. Probably outsourced the miracle to one of the lesser saints.

I figures someone with Moar Serial Shoping Skilz would have a "Passion of Tebow" but I like this as an explanation:

Re: Miscellany
Early Thursday afternoon, a young woman knocked on my office door. I recognized the face, but couldn't place her.
She introduced herself and told me that she'd taken one of my classes 2 years ago. She told me of how I used to stay after class to go over things with her, to make sure that she understood it.
She then told me that she's now in a Radiology program, and that she's sure she wouldn't have made it if I hadn't spent so much time making sure that she knew and understood the material. So, she had looked me up just to tell me that, and that she was thankful for the time and help that I'd given her.
We don't hear that sort of thing often enough ... kind of makes your day.

I got a facebook account because it's a good way to keep up with my nieces and nephews. But otherwise, I simply hate going on there.
It's probably largely a function of where I grew up, but as far as I can tell, about half the things posted there could be summarized as "I really, really love God." Okay, fine, whatever.
Of the remainder, about half appear to be variations of "My husband / wife / brother / sister / mother / father / roommate's second cousin once removed has cancer / was injured in a car crash / has come down with a terminal case of the creeping crud -- please pray for them."
And most of the remainder seem to be variations of "My mother / father / grandmother / etc. just died of a prolonged, horrible disease -- thanks for all your prayers of support, but God decided it was his/her time; isn't God just wonderful in His infinite wisdom and mercy? I love Him so much and can't wait until I get to be with Him!".
Such posts -- and there are far too many of them -- make me want to throw up.
I just got an e-mail from someone I used to know in high school. She wanted to know why I never post anything on facebook. I have no intention of telling her why: First, because I have zero interest in "sharing" with a bunch of people -- most of whom are essentially strangers -- trivial things like what I had for breakfast, much less anything personal. Second, if I said what I truly think of most of the drek I see posted on facebook, I'd only upset people.

Re: Miscellany
I have posted what I really think on Facebook and as a result 90% of my "friends" are happy I don't post more.

I am puzzled by the "KID'S LOOK AT THESE CRAYONS" subtitle.
Also, too, it's not sexy enough.
