I am the only person in the family who is at all up-to-date on all the Marvel shit, and I'm behind on a few things. I finished Ms. Marvel yesterday, and it was... pretty good?

On the plus side, it's a nice series. They keep a light, breezy tone through most of it. Part of it is Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, who is (as they say in the show) adorable. There's decent action, and it matters a bit more when you actually care about the people involved. It actually shows a lot of Muslim/Mosque/Pakistani culture and history, stuff I'm pretty sure that your average American hasn't been too familiar with. For instance, part of Kamala's family history is the disappearance of her great-grandmother, who was lost in the Partition of India.

...but it's just pretty good. I didn't get to excited about it, and they *have* to tie it in with all the rest of the MCU.

She really is 100% adorable I've watched a few interviews with her and she's just as adorable irl. She is a total MCU nerd and you can feel how excited she is to be a part of it. I saw some youtube video with her doing "the impossible MCU quiz" and she really knows her shit, like insanely so... comparing her results to other MCU actors like Tessa Thompson or Natalie Portman and you can see what an awesome MCU nerd she is

This was my next favourite part of the show. I learned interesting little bits about the culture (like the use of beta, never heard that before) and it was nice to see on a major TV show.

I agree, it was pretty good. I enjoyed it and I hope everyone watches it. They will definitely tie it into the rest of the MCU in The Marvels coming out next year.

We watched the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and so far so good. I mean I'd watch Tatiana Maslany in anything really, but it was good. I don't know what the rage-nerds are making of it, I'm sure they're about something or other, but I thought it was funny and enjoyed the back and forth between the Hulks.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Daredevil again. This one episode a week shit is killing me though.....

Oh yes. The Rage-O-Sphere is definitely reacting to Shulkie. If you value sanity, don't bother looking for why. It is exceptionally dumb.

I, for one, have loved She-Hulk (3 EPs in). I can understand the frustration felt by those who might feel attacked in parts, but I loved it and her reactions to things felt like me. I am also one who enjoys a good 4th wall break.
And the CGI is choppy, but not a problem for me. I wouldn't care if it was a cardboard stage set as long as the story and acting pulls me in. Maslany truly is talent.

I have really liked the show! It's definitely her show, but I do love Bruce and Wong and all them, too.

I have heard in podcasts that in the comic books, in addition to your traditional fourth-wall break that translates pretty naturally into talking to the camera on TV, they also do all kinds of other interesting things with the frames/pages/panels, etc. which is making me want to check them out as well.
