These days I'm listening to tons of Gordon Lightfoot. My brother had bought tickets to take me to his concert on April 16, but it was cancelled. Then two weeks later, he was dead. 84 is a pretty good innings for all the health problems he's had throughout his life. So many genius songs. He's the one artist I've seen live more than any other. I'm crushed.

Former Yes singer Jon Anderson's tour with The Band Geeks is almost over. Sadly, the tour never made it west of St. Charles, Missouri. Anderson is 78 years old, yet the setlist for this tour includes some insanely lengthy Yes tunes. And somehow he manages to sound as good as he did when I first saw Yes back in 1975.

It's the Welsh band Magenta, along with the late, great David Longdon (Big Big Train) on vocal and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Pete Jones on lead guitar, performing the title song from Steve Hackett's third solo album. The original Hackett tune is an instrumental, but Longdon wrote lyrics for it.
