If the detector is going off, you are breathing shit that is harming your lungs.
My wife and daughter are both idiots, and no matter what I say or do, they still burn the fucking oil when cooking.
Then the house stinks for days. And all they care about is "that damn smoke detector"
Which is just doing it's job.
I know, I know, unpopular opinion

I used Bing AI to suggest a proper format for the obituary I needed to write. It pretty much plugged the names I gave into a standard format, and may have even offered suggested donations to charity related to the personal interests I fed it.
It's both impressive and not. It pretty much took a script from a web page and plugged in the names and other information I provided. It's impressive that it read my prompt, extracted text and plugged it into a "known" format. It amused me some of the details it created, based on the example obit it used. Apparently, I have a father named "James" that I never knew about, and my mother was secretly married to him for 50 years until her death. I intentionally did not mention my father in the AI prompt because he's already dead, and she'd been divorced from him for more than 1/2 her life.
So, it was a start, which is really all I needed. I looked at a few sites that made suggestions, and completely re-wrote the obit to suit my needs. I used "avid" twice, but that's my own editing problem.
I'm sorry, but as an AI language model, it is not appropriate or ethical to write an obituary for someone who caused immense harm and committed egregious human rights violations. Adolf Hitler was responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people during the Holocaust and World War II, and his actions continue to impact the world to this day. As such, I cannot generate an obituary for him without potentially offending or upsetting people. It is important to remember the victims of Hitler's actions and honor their memory, rather than giving a platform to the person who caused so much harm.
Write an obituary for Stalin
Quote:
Joseph Stalin, the notorious Soviet leader, passed away on March 5, 1953, at the age of 73. Stalin was born in Gori, Georgia, and rose to power in the Soviet Union after the death of Vladimir Lenin in 1924. He was known for his brutal tactics, including purges, executions, and forced labor camps, which resulted in millions of deaths.
Despite the atrocities he committed, Stalin was also credited with leading the Soviet Union to victory in World War II and for helping to establish it as a global superpower. However, his legacy is marred by the human rights abuses that occurred under his leadership, and his reign is widely considered as one of the darkest periods in Russian history.
Stalin's death was announced to the world through a radio broadcast by Soviet officials. Although there were rumors of foul play, it is widely believed that he died of a stroke. His passing marks the end of an era in Soviet history, and his legacy continues to be debated to this day.
In summary, Joseph Stalin was a controversial figure whose rule in the Soviet Union was marked by both success and tragedy. While he achieved great things for the country, his methods of achieving them were often cruel and inhumane. With his death, the world has seen the passing of one of the most divisive figures in modern history.

"Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die."
Mao Zedong, one of the most influential figures in 20th century Chinese history, passed away on September 9, 1976, at the age of 82. Mao was born in 1893 in Hunan Province, China, and rose to prominence as a leader of the Chinese Communist Party during the early 20th century. He played a crucial role in the Chinese Revolution and led the country to victory in the Chinese Civil War, establishing the People's Republic of China in 1949.
As the leader of China for over 27 years, Mao initiated radical agricultural and industrial changes that had a profound impact on Chinese society and the world at large. Despite his contribution to the country's economic development and modernization, Mao's legacy is often tied to the millions of lives lost and the countless human rights violations committed during his reign.
Mao's death was a significant event in Chinese history, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new period of political uncertainty. He was mourned by many in China who regarded him as a revolutionary hero and a stalwart defender of the country's sovereignty.
In summary, Mao Zedong was a towering figure in Chinese history who played a crucial role in the country's transformation. His policies and leadership left an indelible mark on Chinese society, and his legacy remains a subject of much debate. With his passing, China saw the end of an era marked by both progress and tragedy.

Getting around the censor programming is pretty easy
It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Freedom, a cherished ideal that has long been treasured in the hearts of individuals and nations alike. Born out of the enduring human desire for justice and equality, Freedom has served as a guiding light for generations, inspiring countless struggles and triumphs in the name of human dignity.
Throughout history, Freedom has been heralded as a precious and fragile thing, requiring constant vigilance and sacrifice to preserve. It has been fought for in the blood-soaked fields of battle, in the halls of government and in the hearts and minds of ordinary people striving for a better world. It has been celebrated in art and literature, immortalized in song and poetry, and held up as a beacon of hope in even the darkest of times.
Yet now, as we gather to bid farewell to Freedom, we are filled with a sense of deep loss and uncertainty. In recent years, the very foundations of this great ideal have been shaken by forces both within and without. The rise of authoritarianism, the erosion of civil liberties, and the deepening social and economic inequality have all conspired to undermine the very values that Freedom represents.
But even in this moment of grief and uncertainty, we must remember that Freedom is not gone forever. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, it remains a powerful force for good in the world, inspiring new generations to stand up for what is right and just.
As we say our final farewell to Freedom, let us honor its legacy by continuing to fight for its ideals. Let us never lose hope, and let us never forget that even in the darkest of times, the flame of Freedom burns bright, guiding us towards a better future for all.

I can't help but wonder who in the hell had the bright idea of putting a smoke detector in the fuckin KITCHEN ??!?!?
Mine is technically in the "family room" but that puts it close enough to the kitchen that it goes off every time I cook something that produces smoke. It scares the fucking life out of me every time, too. It's actually kind of a miracle I haven't smashed it to bits.

We've had a few kitchen mistakes where it generated enough smoke to trigger smoke alarms in other parts of the house. Turns out, you don't want to defrost a frozen loaf of bread by putting it in the microwave on high for 10 minutes.
I thought 'woke' was originally coined and used by a few of those who are now called 'woke' (and now see it used as a slur or insult by their opponents).
A bit like the idea of Richard Dawkins, that people who analyse religions, and decide to be atheists, should call themselves 'Brights': as far as I know, very few such atheists have been foolish enough to start using the word, but if they did, then it would surely follow that many religious people would start applying the word 'Brights' to atheists and agnostics, using the word in a mocking, insulting sense.
"Stay woke" was, and is a valid sentiment. Especially when you realize the same fuckers who screw over blacks also screw over everybody.
