Tgere is a spot to jump in the ocean every few feet pretty much. The cliffs are pretty steep in most places and the water is deep.
You can snorkel right off the resort.
The sunsets are beautiful, Samsara is pretty much the western tip of Jamaica and faces NorthWestish.
Samsara is an older all inclusive hotel(it’s been here since the 70s I think)
They have this great benign neglect thing going on. They mostly leave you alone but are really nice if you want or ask for anything. Everyone is really friendly with greetings as well. The food is all rich the way somebody’s grandmother made things. A lot if the food reminds me of southern food.
I included a picture of Blue Cave Castle, that’s the resort we stayed at the first time, it’s smaller than samsara and out of business now sadly. But you can swim over from Samsara and we did. We swam into the cave and saw bats.
That’s how I first noticed the P. Bahamense ten years ago, ES and I swam out the cave at night.
I just love the place.
Edited to add: so I noticed Snidely Whiplash Cat my first night, I thought hitler but saw too much Stache.
Anyway, I’m sitting eating lunch and outside on the path to the pool the cat is staring at me. I ignore it and then this younger woman and male friend walk up. The guy sticks his hand out and the cat bats it with no claws. Then the girl tried with the same result. She said “fuck you hitler cat, you can fucking starve, you should have been nice”. I fed him burger then and a couple other times.
