TENS of thousands of fake Twitter accounts were created to support the military coup against Bolivia’s elected president Evo Morales, a new study suggests.

Spanish party Podemos’s head of social networks Julian Macias Tovar said that over 68,000 false accounts were set up to try to legitimise the army’s overthrow of Mr Morales following his re-election last month and to justify the massacres of protesters against the coup that have followed.

The study notes that, of far-right Bolivian coup-backer Luis Camacho’s 135,473 Twitter followers, more than 55,000 were users created in the last 18 days.

Trash-rises-to-the-top sports media personality Pat McAfee and his frequent guest, New York Jets QB Qaren Rodgers, swallowed it like Mad Madge Green wants to swallow Hunter Biden's massive hog. The user later posted that the stat was indeed entirely made up, and a bunch of football fans are all like, "Wait, what? There's false info on X?!"

What we might be seeing is the initial phase where the various factions learn which will be wearing the boots on the feet and which will be wearing the boots on the neck.

Ultimately it all depends on which the military sides with, and if Elon and Vivek go ahead and work to end the VA, the answer isn't immediately clear.
