Re: Yo, top 1%: shut the fuck up
Meanwhile back in the realm of the FREE SPEECH ABSOLUTIST:
Tesla’s ban on pro-union shirts is illegal and must be rescinded, NLRB rules | Ars Technica
Quote:
Tesla violated US labor law by implicitly banning employees from wearing shirts with union insignias, the National Labor Relations Board ruled yesterday. In addition to ruling that Tesla broke the law, the NLRB overturned a Trump-era decision in a similar case involving Walmart.

Re: Yo, top 1%: shut the fuck up
The filthy jackboot of authoritarian government once again stomps on the sacred Non-Aggression Principle.
The National Labor Relations Board press release is available here, along with a link to the actual decision. It was close.
The NLRB ain't what it used to be before the Taft-Hartley Act lopped off its nuts, but a ruling against Space Karen is welcome just the same.

Should we automate away all the jobs, including the fulfilling ones? Should we develop nonhuman minds that might eventually outnumber, outsmart, obsolete and replace us? Should we risk loss of control of our civilization? Such decisions must not be delegated to unelected tech leaders. Powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you. Who the hell are you to decide which jobs are fulfilling?
Do you really think making clothes, crafting hats and shoes, building a fucking automobile by hand is less fulfilling than what? Writing copy? Composing emails? It's almost like the ability to speak and write English and convincingly bullshit has become completely overvalued in our economy.

Re: Yo, top 1%: shut the fuck up
It reminds me of an interview excerpt I read with Tucker Carlson where he admits if he was president he would ban self driving trucks and give some bullshit excuse like safety because the economic hardship on all of those truck driver families the self driving trucks would put out of business.
Of course if you talk to any trucker you would hear about the horrible conditions, being away for long periods and shit pay, but to the rich jobs aren’t just things you do, they are your identity, your born in caste. These aren’t people driving trucks because that’s the current option, these are truck drivers, born to drive and die that every walmart is fully stocked.
So here again we have the rich acting like the jobs they provide are handed down from high and must certainly be fulfilling their workers as their purpose in life is to perform [insert job here].
