Default IKEA vs LEGO

Which is your favourite Scandinavian origin, highly sophisticated interlocking block system with a capitalised four-letter name, that comes in sets that are supposed to make a specific thing, but creative people make whatever they want?

Which one has the more successful soft social marketing presence? Will will see IKEA THE MOVIE in the next few years? IKEAland amusement parks? And if not why not?

Inspired by a F******k post by Miisa.

NOTE. PLND and PLTX were included in the POLL by mistake. They are not Scandinavian and not known for being highly sophisticated, or indeed interlocking block systems, though it might be argued that people tend to make whatever they want with them.

I didn't know LEGO had a Scandinavian origin. Also, I spent more than a few seconds trying to figure out what a "fuckpost" is and why you used so many asterisks to censor the word.

Lego is Danish and they would be Nordically put out that you weren't aware of that.

Lego, because it doesn't pretend to be something else. Also, I can fit more Lego sets in my house than Ikea stuff.

[:glasses:]Scandinavia is just Sweden and Norway. For the broader sense (Also Denmark, Iceland and Finland), pls use Nordic. [/:glasses:]

Denmark is a part of Scandinavia. Since I'm as Scandinavian as you (ie not) I claim as much authority.

It requires me to register to read, fuck that.
But the headline is correctly Nordic Noir. If they goof up in the article, well, that's on them.

Even by the standards of the irrational pro-Dane league in this thread, Finland and Iceland are not Scandinavia, so whoever added the s-word there is just a poo-poo head.

I’m a Lego man, though we do some IKEA items in our home, but I don’t check the ikea website everyday to see if they have bookcases in stock
