endangering the lives of police officers, Jews and Caucasians.
Jews made it to the inner circle though. Same here in Europe. Apparently these days we even have a 'Judeo-christian civilization' which we certainly didn't until a decade and a half ago.
You know what's the most important LGBT rights issue of all time? Radical Islam. It simply doesn't matter what bathroom you can use or who can refuse to bake your wedding cake if you're DEAD. Just ask the geniuses behind next Tuesday's big LGBT party at the Republican National Convention.

I saw a poll that showed that LGBT Americans were significantly less likely to buy into the anti-immigrant/refugee/Muslim calls after Orlando, and more likely to support more gun control instead.
I would like to say this is because of how awesome we are in general, but I suspect a fair amount of that is simply that LGBT people tend to be liberal and/or Democrats (which pushes them towards more generically liberal positions in general). But we also live in cities where we're more likely to actually encounter Muslims and immigrants.
But hey, maybe we should just go party with Ann Coulter. She loves us when she's not calling people faggots or talking about how we're destroying the family or whatever.
Over here the first succesful anti-Muslim/immigrant politician was openly gay, I think that contributed a lot to his succes because he was the first one to capitalise on the (supposed) homophobia among Dutch Muslims and Muslims in general. It made it okay for liberals to be intolerant because you were (supposedly) being intolerant to intolerance (but in practice judging a whole ethno-religious group by their supposed intolerance when in polls there doesn't actually seem to be much of a tolerance difference with other religious/ethnic groups in the Netherlands).
More stupid shit-saying from a gay conservative, this time the president of the Log Cabin Republicans. Greg Angelo notes that the Republican platform committee has approved "the most anti-LGBT Platform in the Party’s 162-year history" and tells us -- I shit you not -- "This isn’t my GOP, and I know it’s not yours either. "
But it IS your GOP, Greg, and has been for a long time. The platform has included an anti same-sex marriage plank since the early 1990s, and the GOP is laden with luminaries who insist that wanting to marry a person of the same sex is p. much exactly like wanting to fuck a dog.
But hey, I suppose Greg isn't nearly as dumb as the people who'll heed his call for $500 donations.

My mother and I have all sorts of "inappropriate" behaviors at a funeral. When my grandmother died, we talked and joked and laughed through most of the wake and up to the ceremony, because we were seeing some people we hadn't seen in a while, and frankly that how we cope with the loss.
What we didn't do is continue that type of behavior during the actual funeral ceremony.
The best I can say is that maybe GWB got carried away by the music, but has he been out of the spotlight so long that he's forgotten how to act Presidential? And Jesus, that suit! It's not like he's hurting for cash and this is his best suit. Wear appropriate colors, FFS!
There is a very major difference between Gamma's funeral service and wake and the ceremony where national figures, like sitting and former presidents, attend in honor of public servants who died in the line of duty. This wasn't remembering the good life and times of a beloved (or even hated) family member. Despite the sad occasions, both funerals for departed grandparents were at times somber and flowing with tears and being joyful and laughing while remembering who they were and how we felt/feel about them.
Let's remember now: George Dubs Bush claims to be from Texas, is proud of his Texan heritage (such that it is) and was a multi-term governor of the state. You'd think he could remember that he's still in Texas, attending the ceremony for the death of police officers of a city that, so far as I know, is in his favorite state. But that didn't happen.
Let's hop in the way-back-machine. I pray that my fellow ers can forgive me. In the way back days of the late 90s, Rush Limbaugh thought it newsworthy and risable that Bill Clinton would have the audacity to laugh in a not necessarily public moment after Ron Brown's funeral. I wonder how the GOP et al will react with W's complete lack of respect - and joyous lack at that.
I head the church of republicanism have issued their latest fatwa.
Quote:
The platform demands that lawmakers use religion as a guide when legislating, stipulating “that man-made law must be consistent with God-given, natural rights.”
Quote:
parents should be allowed to make decisions about their childrens heatlh without any state interference
including "conversion" therapy so that the youth know a "natural marriage" and dont therefore turn to drugs or become otherwise damaged
Quote:
The platform calls for overturning the Supreme Court marriage decision with a constitutional amendment and makes references to appointing judges “who respect traditional family values.”
Note that the lady to the right of the podium was also grooving to the music as was Obama. Obama & Michelle are also grinning and laughing with (at?) Bush.

After properly named shit Stain Sam Brownback led his state to a $228 Million short fall by fellating the Santorum covered shrived dick of Reagan's ghost, he has a brilliant plan to dig his state out of the mess he helped create,
Not included in the press release was that in his dream God was riding a Reagan faced t-rex coated in gold armor made from the fillings of those willingly poor people he's swindled and sold as firewood, untaxed, to corporate elites to heat their beach homes when they're out on business.

Half hour dicking around trying to find a link to this press release and only found mention of it. But a Kansas newspaper treated me to this lovely quiz question:
Nothing fishy there, Topeka Capital Journal

Jews, Gays, and Girls are all behind Trump.
We are living through a Live TV SNL skit.

Having a look at your posting history I suspect recreational drive by posting. But whatever.
I have not researched where the background of the person making that tweet, but astrophysicists in particularly NASA rub shoulders with the people they toss sattelites into the sky for, have access to papers and work that a well read person can only dream of, and well read is hard to come by what with the modern inundation of bullshit that frequently covers the first ten google results.
If we define well read as knows what they're talking about, I'll find it unsurprising that we're talking about someone who has either done serious academic study in a laboratory environment, or rubs shoulders with people who do.
In short, horsefeathers.
ETA: You screwed up the quote attribution.

If I get to define what "well read" means then I can say the same things about brain surgeons and migraines.
But if we look at the likelihood of possessing some actual useful knowledge (how do you calculate how much energy the sun puts out, and how much of that is retained on earth as heat?) then it is clear that this is clearly not the case.
An astrophysicist would have no greater knowledge of climate change than any random well read person.
Come on man. This is just embarrassing.
As an undergraduate, the school of physics and astronomy provided me with a whole wealth of useful education that is directly relevant to climate change. One of my courses was meteorology, which is hardly something a 'random well read person' will stumble across.

Knowledge through osmosis, interesting theory.
I am reminded when those long lists of scientists come out arguing against AGW that the typical response from the fear mongers is that most don't count as they are not specifically climate scientists.
Ever changing standards is a sign of a lie.
