You are so NOT irrelevant!!!!! ::hug:

I agree with a lot of what you said about DSA. I'm very disillusioned with the local chapter here for a whole bunch of reasons, to the point where I don't organize with them. I got sick of the tone police and thought police, the ageism and sexism. And I'm really sad, because they blew the opportunities they had to make a difference.

I'm hanging on to my membership but just barely.

Great. Just great. Now for the rest of the day I'll be picturing AML, :ff:'s favorite legendarily stupid welcher, as a card-carrying DSA member.

I feel ya. My "beloved" Democratic Party recently took sucking at tactics (and strategy) to such dizzying heights that it straight up lost a presidential election to Donald Fucking Trump. They're better and engaging and retaining membership, but at the cost of becoming generally shittier.

Nice. Unless removing the wrapper from a Snickers bar now qualifies as cooking, I am not.

Seriously, my family was harassed, fired and not hired for their politics. Which were straight up socialist. Thanks for giving me a reading list and not working on get all
Qindai, tell me more about this - what was your family's struggle? I'm really curious.

(And another thing, DSA reinvents the wheel like nobody's business - often the same wheel over and over again)
