Spoke to more people today that are positive and/or know positive people. The local hospital which is fairly large and serves a large area is at 90% capacity in their morgue. They are getting ready to move bodies to a site built during the first wave that was never used. I know an electrician that worked on that site back in March, getting it ready to store possibly hundreds of bodies. It was scary at the time but they never had to use it, until now.

That same hospital has been declared a "critical incident" which means they are at the highest level of alert

Yes, the autoparsing of bbc links causes vBulletin (at least our version of it) to explode.



What's it's supposed to do is take a url like
https :// www. bbc. co. uk/news/uk-england-london-54974425
fetch the 'title' element on that page
and replace it with
[ur l="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-54974425"]title text[/url]

And while the actual title is "London taxis stored in fields as passenger demand 'evaporates' - BBC News", the html has a bunch of extra <title> tags in the body, and vBulletin decides to grab everything from the first <title> to the last </title>. Hilarity ensues.

VBulletin is being stupid here and should parse the html properly. But any reasonable reading of the html standards would find that there should only be one title element in a document, so the BBC is also being stupid.

I don't even know where that option is - as far as I know, I'm on completely standard settings. But I do use the little "Insert link" icon (the globe with the two links of chain underneath) when I post links, so that they get formatted like {URL="foo"}foo{/URL}
When I'm not being lazy, I then go and edit the text between the } and { so it looks like: {URL="foo"}Here is an interesting BBC article{/URL}

Obviously, square brackets in place of the curly braces I used above, to explain.

but I don't think there's an general option to turn it off. And it's not available in the quick reply box.

It's odd that you're not getting titles automatically inserted.
