This is tenuously connected to Brexit if at all. But it's on topic as a government fuck-up causing pain for the public.

In the "free" market for household energy in the UK, there's a price cap. With the cost of natural gas having rocketed gone up in flames whatever in the past several months, and now oil joining it (thanks, Zelenskyy), they've "had to" raise the cap. Nearly all energy suppliers have of course raised their prices with effect from today. Boom.

It's local elections only. A level of government gutted by successive Westminster governments and thus having only problems and little actual power.

So only really a bit of a temperature check on how bad a mess people think Bozo's making of everything - and the answer appears to be pretty bad, but not as disastrous as they deserve.
