A man has been charged with murdering a woman and shooting her husband because they voted for President Joe Biden.
Joseph Angel Alvarez, 38, was arrested on September 8, almost a year after the shootings took place.
Authorities say that Mr Alvarez staked out the couple’s home ahead of the shootings, and discovered a pro-Biden “flag and a doll of Trump hanging" outside.
He shot and killed Georgetta Kauffman in her garage on November 14, 2020, and then shot her husband Daniel Kaufmann, in the head, shoulder and wrist, reports CBS4. Mr Kaufmann crawled to his bedroom, and then managed to escape the attack by running out of his front door to a neighbour’s house to call 911.
Mr Alvarez allegedly emailed the 902nd Military Intelligence Group, a counterintelligence unit, saying that he targeted the Kauffmans because they voted for Mr Biden and demanding that people "stop all murder of babies," reports the El Paso Times.
He also emailed the military unit to say that pro-choice supporters were a part of the "Jewish Satanist" party and that the Kauffman’s neighbourhood was a "ritualistic satanic ground to conduct abortions by the manner of magic.”
A police officer wrote in an affidavit: “The defendant’s belief was ‘to end the Satanic activity’ near the crime scene [and he] acted out his manifesto by killing and shooting the Kaufmanns.”
He is currently being held at the El Paso County Jail with bail set to $2.5 million.

First and foremost they are all desperate for validation. Absolutely desperate! I understood this academically but I don’t think I understood the full extent. Insecurity and validation cycles absolutely rule the sub. Anyone looking for advice is generally looking to have their beliefs confirmed by others, and the others will tell people to destroy their life to validate their own beliefs (Wife wants me to get my second jab or she will divorce me, I don’t want a divorce, what should I do? Answer, kick her to the curb, divorce her before she can divorce you, she obviously want’s you to die! You’re better off without her.)
The “we’re not sheep!” sentiment is a direct result of the out of control need for validation projected onto others. They desperately want to be part of a group that bleats in unison, yet want to consider themselves a free independent thinker, so they shout “I’m not the sheep, you’re the sheep!” as loudly as they can to drown out the voice in their head.
Many are also scared and confused, which is certainly a driving force behind the validation, but they also don’t fully see the fear instead only feeling it manifest.
Second is that the poor or non existent understanding of probability and statistics is a serious issue. Way too many don’t seem to understand percentages, what 99% really means, what a false positive, or false negative really means in a tangible sense. It’s become obvious now that things like “99%” or “99.x% are shorthand for “So likely it might as well be certain!” and not, ya know, a 1:1000 chance or less.
While only a small microcosm that is admittedly on a social media system that uses validation and shame as its reward system, but it has become so repetitive over only a few nights that I’m pretty sure now the best thing anyone can do for people caught in this death cult is to find them validation elsewhere, and once they are finally hooked up to a different validation machine, shame the previous one as dumb or the antithesis to this new validation.
