We now have a dog. Meet Ellie, we got her from the pound. She's definitely part cattle dog/Australian blue heeler and maybe shephard. Her previous owner died and she was terrified in the pound. All we know was she was unfixed until she went to the pound, lived in an apartment and may have been raised with another dog. She can walk on a leash fairly well, house trained and knows sit and come. She's like glue to my side.

We officially have a puppy and a geriatric old girl living in the house. Poop and peep everywhere. Vet bills on the rise. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Mookie has been spayed. Wound is healing blessedly quickly. It was never red or swollen looking, and she never had any interest in licking it. We took the cone off after 3 days. Also her big girl teeth are coming in.

Gizmo has been eating less and losing weight, but the vet finds nothing wrong with her blood or liver or anything else. She had a bunch of teeth extracted, and now bey cooks human food for her and hand-feeds her. He's so tender with her I could die. :happycry:

I'm trying to find food that she will eat without handfeeding, but she is so picky.

I'm trying eggbeaters with chopped up fried chicken, and then bust up the egg beaters so it will be bite sized for a tiny 4 pound dog.

She will probably eat it and then refuse because that's how she rolls.
