A good reminder that anything which has comments provided by Kinja (the Gizmodoverse comments system) will have its URL parsed into great garbled insanity and needs to be given a name on its own and not allowed to just parse the title as it should be.
Considering many other issues with Kinja, this amusingly seems to be less of a problem with our ancient forum and more to do with just how poorly written and slapped together Kinja is.

I vaguely remember that malicious bullshit back from when a bunch of sites started doing it and people got mad about it, but I don't feel like trying to figure it out right now.

Forum weirdness, starting a new line with : will give a 403 forbidden error when previewing or posting but it’s all fine if the post itself starts with :

Confirm. It happens even when the : is part of a smilie code, or when preceded by a space. So this is serious.
I also get a 403 when submitting reply with a : at the beginning of a line.
(It works if there are empty tags before the colon)
