This song is great, and the video is one of the best things I've ever seen.

Re: One of those 'Wat'cha Listenin' To?' threads.
Getting hyped for September!
Also, Jon Anderson's 1000 Hands tour is going well enough that they added a bunch of new dates. He'll be here in August. With Anderson Rabin Wakeman on "indefinite hiatus" and the Howe/White/Downes/Davidson/Sherwood iteration of Yes not appearing anywhere near here, 2019 was shaping up to be the first year since 2015 without any live Yes music for me. Hopefully this show will keep the run going.

I've discovered the secret on how to trick pea to go to an orchestral concerto.

I've been listening to songs in Spanish to work on my Spanish, and Rubn Blades is my new fave. This is from a concert ages ago in my old stomping grounds, New Jersey. (If search on Capitol Theater Passaic on YouTube, you'll find a boatload of films of shows from the 80s)

Belew is here in September! No more Tobias Ralph on drums, sad to say, but the godlike Julie Slick is still in his band.

Been listening to a lot of Jawbox in order to prepare for the concert last night. Now I want to listen to more Jawbox.

Still pretty pissed at myself for not finding out about Steven Wilson until 2017, but all that music sure helps ease the pain. Here he teams up with Mariusz Duda of Riverside, putting to music the poem of a Porcupine Tree/Riverside fan who died of cancer at a ridiculously early age. Wilson's write-up on how the song came about is available here.

Re: One of those 'Wat'cha Listenin' To?' threads.
We went to the Weird Al "Strings Attached" tour. It was - good. We've seen him on every tour since "Alpocalypse" and the shows are always good in some way, but the backing orchestra didn't add a lot to the performance, and were sometime drowned out by the amplified instruments.
The "Alpocalypse" tour was probably the best Weird Al concert we've been to, but that's also because that album is the consensus family favorite and he played more songs off that album.
On a semi-related note, I picked up Jonah Ray's EP, "You Cant Call Me Al" which takes the Weird Al parody lyrics and covers them in an indie/pop-punk style. Like "Amish Paradise":

Seattle synth...goth? Industrial? Pop? Emo? artist, deals with a lot of weighty issues like depression, abusive cycles, self-acceptance, overcoming destructive personality types, and well, this:

Went to that show last night, and it was absolutely superb. I highly recommend it to any fan of Yes or Anderson's solo work. The band is big (drummer, percussionist, keyboardist, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist [keys, guitar, mandolin, trombone], violinist [also ukulele on a couple of songs], bassist, sax/flute) and talented as hell. With the exception of the drummer, everyone sings, and the harmonies are terrific. At age 74, Anderson still sounds like he did when I first saw Yes back in 1975.
It was especially great to hear some of my favorite Yes tunes that never made it into Anderson Rabin Wakeman's shows (including Yours is No Disgrace, Sweet Dreams, Starship Trooper and that cover of Paul Simon's America). Anderson's website shows another 7 dates scheduled, mostly in California. It's well worth going if any of those shows are near you.
