The fact that there are black maga people who are provisionally accepted in some maga circles doesn't preclude people liking the Confederacy because of the racism. Ive known many, many racists that carve out "one of the good ones" exceptions.

I would also question that. I think in most cases, the white MAGAs would not be so tolerant of a black MAGA wanting to date their daughter.

Which isn't to say there aren't any who would be ok with that - some make broader exceptions for "the good ones". But pretty much always always going to be some line that they can't cross in terms of behavior around race, because you simply can't be a committed anti-racist and be a true believer Trumpist.

Where does the hive mind stand on this dude? I've been following him for a little while because his anti-Trump rants turn me on, but I have a feeling I might end up feeling really dirty for doing it.

Sounds like he's got some good ideas and some questionable ones.

The main reason I can't predict the hivemindset is this term "liberals". It seems - with this guy as with all Repubs - to be a general slur for leftists and centrists. In European terms, liberal is centrist and the USA does not have a left to speak of. (And in Australia the "Liberal Party" is pretty right-wing.) So I don't know what movements or what policies he's against.
