The first time I asked whatever happened to Billy Idol was in 1982. I was wondering if he was working in a gas station or something, and then, within a week or two, he released his first solo album, and my boyfriend forever blamed me for it. I think he liked the idea of Billy Idol working at a gas station.

I did the Christmas album, though, and whatever fresh hell he'll come up with as a result of me talking about him now.
I will say that he's aged surprisingly well. Pretty boys usually start looking heinous by 40.

I visited Sir Isaac Newton's birthplace and family home last year. I only just noticed in the photos that the end plates of the house reinforcing rods are in the shape of the logo.
