While I’m sure most of California is tired of the sun and wants it to go away, when it’s sunny inland it’s foggy on the coast, and today was the first day in some time we’ve had a sunny blue sky with no clouds in the sky, so I made sure to take a walk in it.
I'm just happy that the marine layer will make its way here tomorrow, and cool everything off.

Actually, Central Florida took a hit from this one. The worst was to the north of Gainesville. Then it moved on up north into South Georgia.
Friends in Perry, Florida got swamped.

I’ve been there after a light rain and the playa surface cakes up on things, it doesn’t take much walking to end up a foot higher with playa platforms It’s a dry lake bed so it doesn’t pool anywhere but spreads out over the whole surface, and this has been more than light rain I have friends there, someone posted a picture of a fish sculpture that was supposed to look like it’s swimming in the playa as if the dirt was water, but now just looks like a normal fish sculpture in a lake.
I'm in Cyprus for the next three weeks. It's been pretty hot and sunny, as you'd expect. About 32C so not too bad. Thunderstorm overnight Monday night, dry since then. Had a swim in the Med this afternoon - as warm as most indoor pools.
I hit the midpoint of our driveway and had to perform a shuffling retreat - there was a thin layer of frost on the driveway which was just enough to male my feet slide backwards and make going up the driveway unsafe. I had to retreat back to the house and use the stairs.
