Gurdur, if you come back to this thread, please re-read Jessica's post, particularly the snippet quoted above and then think about your part in the ugliness and how you've just added to it.

Ignoring the above:

Jess, I have quite a few of my personal conversations with Allan archived on my computer, and would love to help you compile a memorial.

I have some as well. They are on the old computer I used. Hopefully the conversations are still archived.

Thank you so much for sharing that link. I'm so glad to know that I can read Allan's journal entries and see pictures of him and Jessica.

I'm planning to go on any CF walks/runs for charity that are held in Australia. I'll even try to go to one in the US if I can arrange it.

Yes, and it's spelled with two 'u's in both places.

I am sorry to say this is inaccessible right now.

I never knew him personally, but have read the entire site before. I look in from time to time (and it has been a while). He was a very good writer.

ETA: I clicked Moncap's link :
http://save-allan.webzetetic.com/

It's broke for Safari, anyway.

I apologize for taking so long to reply. I was at my Dad's in Toronto over the weekend and his computer sucks so I couldn't really post.

HH has a copy of all his Save-Allan.org journal entries, though no mirror as it originally appeared exists, as far as I know. I'd link to it but this was not a pretty thread and I don't want any fights to resume, so I'll send you it in a pm.

There's a mirror of his original site here: Wonderful World of WinAce

I know I can't count on these being here forever, and I'm ashamed at how slack I've been. I don't even know who is hosting his original site. I also know absolutely nothing about hosting a website. At one time I registered remember-allan.com and paid for it for two years, but I never got anything set up. I really don't know what I'm doing in that regard (I know, I should have asked).

So, I'm going to ask for help with that now. If I pay for hosting and registering a domain name again, and am able to find the original content somewhere, can anyone here help me set it up? I'd like to be able to keep a permanent mirror of his original two sites up and maybe add some of his other writings. I'm just really not computer literate and somewhat intimidated by the prospect of putting it all together.

Don't worry about the original Save-Allan content, Jess. I'm sure we have it all backed up for easy transfer to a new memorial site. And don't you dare beat yourself about it having taken some time to get it all together. We'll get it done and it'll be awesome.
