I finished watching a couple of days ago, and now my life is boring and terrible.

Re: Twin Peaks: some kind of watching party thrad or anything
Did you watch the movie yet or read the novel?
I liked the part at the beginning of season 2 when
show spoiler
Cooper flips through
Laura Palmer's Secret Diary and says something like "I've read this thing cover to cover. There are no solutions in here."
I thought that was a nice fuck you to the hardcore fans that read it over the break.

I haven't read the book, but I've been planning to rewatch the movie soon. But after I do that, then I won't have anything to look forward to until 2016.
Poor old Lisa Pea.

Re: Twin Peaks: some kind of watching party thrad or anything
We dialed up the Psych episode on the Netflix just for funzies, and it was fun. I'm not a regular viewer of Psych, so some of it may have been over my head.
I could have done with a little more matching the actual tone of Twin Peaks and a little less shoehorning in of as many cute nods and references as possible, but nobody asked me. At least they had the decency to make Dual Spires a town of fewer than 300 people, as opposed to Twin Peaks' population of over 50 thou that Dingfod so rightly pointed out is BS. And everybody's reaction to seeing a black man was pretty spot on, I think.
Mostly I enjoyed all the cameos of the Twin Peaks teenagers as Dual Spires adults.

psych does a lot of theme episodes like that. It's generally a light and fun series that has a lot of its own in things. But that you figured out.

I haven't had time to watch any more of Twin Peaks. I'll get to work on that this weekend.

Twin Peaks Savings & Loan has an enormous bank vault for a city of 51,201 people.
What's with the little guy in red that can't speak English well?
Lynch sure believes in hiring the elderly and disabled.
The strobe effect just triggered an epileptic seizure. BRRRRRRBBBB
David Lynch must have weirder dreams than I do.

Oh, he is Scully's dad on the X Files.
(I guess he's been in lots of stuff, but I don't watch lots of stuff, so.)

Maybe you've heard, but David Lynch announced he's no longer working on the new season because Showtime was cheaping out on it.

Re: Twin Peaks: some kind of watching party thrad or anything
Catherine Coulson passes at 71.
Quote:
Catherine E. Coulson, who played the Log Lady on David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” TV series and was set to return to the new Showtime version, died Monday morning of cancer. She was 71.
“We are all deeply sad, she meant so much to so many,” said her agent, Mary Dangerfield, who confirmed her death.
Coulson, who also worked as a camera assistant, reprised the Log Lady role in the feature “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” and more recently, she appeared on an episode of “Portlandia” and in the film “Redwood Highway.”
Lynch said in a statement, “Today I lost one of my dearest friends, Catherine Coulson. Catherine was solid gold. She was always there for her friends — she was filled with love for all people — for her family — for her work. She was a tireless worker. She had a great sense of humor — she loved to laugh and make people laugh. She was a spiritual person — a longtime TM meditator. She was the Log Lady.”
This could have easily gone into the Dead People Overthrad, but it seems more fitting here.
