So far her symptoms are, while annoying, not immediately life threatening, and she claims that she is being ignored by the doctors.
They told her to go home and isolate herself, Take Tylenol, and drink plenty of fluids. If she gets really sick report to the ER.
She's now angry that they won't give her the vaccine.

Apparently this was because 20 percent of the schools were quarantined, but that means clearly they are having outbreaks.

Now that she’s dead, there’s a small but non-zero chance someone will try to storm the hospital to ‘release the records’ of how they murdered her!
Last week, a ragtag group of people who don't even have children in California's Poway Unified School District invaded a closed school board meeting, as part of a rally organized by dark money-funded astroturf group "Let Them Breathe," and refused to leave. Police declined to force them out and instead suggested the school board adjourn the meeting instead. You know, for their own safety.

The anti-maskers decided ending the meeting meant school board members had vacated their seats, so they "brought in a constitutionalist" to verify this meant they could elect a new board "by quorum," then made themselves the new school board, with a swearing-in ceremony and everything. Tragically, no sashes or crowns were involved.

Joe Fu, professor of math at the University of Georgia, doesn’t plan on resigning, but he said at a recent meeting of the Franklin Senate that he was requiring masks in his classes. He also said he’d take his courses online if local COVID-19 hospitalizations exceeded their pandemic peak, some 319 beds, in January.

The fact that vaccines have great protection against serious covid is relevant, the fact that the vast majority of current deaths and icu patients are unvaccinated is also relevant.

But is correct that the proportion alone is pretty meaningless. The media report it as if it allows one to infer the probability of hospitalisation or death given vaccinated status.
But (my favourite refrain) the probability of hospitalisation given a vaccine is not the probability of a vaccine given hospitalisation.
It's not even a matter of knowing correct proportions; we'd really need to know the proportion of vaccines across age and other risk factors to work out one from the other.

The fact that it’s the unvaccinated who are the ones overwhelmingly dying of covid currently (and in ICUs) is consistent with the hypothesis that vaccines offer protection.
Also, But never said there wasn’t accompanying information in the articles. Yes, the fact alone in a vacuum doesn’t mean much, but we do know what percentage of people are vaccinated. Most articles have background information for context. Yes if you assume that the articles don’t, then they are less informative.
Perhaps if But or you had provided actual examples we could discuss them.

We have that information though. It’s odd that you act like this is some intractable problem.

Yes, it’s technically possible that the stats could be misleading say if the elderly and most vulnerable were less likely to be vaccinated, but that’s a silly fucking thing to assume.
I feel that you are arguing perfectly spherical covid in a frictionless, information vacuum which is not reality.
