I had the same thought as specious, but I read the entire article anyway. Harris is obviously correct to have lost respect for Musk over the latter's Covid denial, but as he goes on to explain there is enough overlap in their worldview that they would clearly still be friends if Musk hadn't given him the cold shoulder.

Sam Harris made a big splash with his The End of Faith in 2004. It and it's follow up were notable for being distinctly anti-Muslim.

I did read the article. I'm mildly surprised that he appears to be pro-science on COVID, and a lot of "new atheists" got unhinged during COVID. I think he's Overton-window shifted back to being more of a Democrat.

ETA: I hadn't finished the article before I posted, using "woke mind virus" seriously puts Harris back in my IDGAF what he says category.
