Well, what do I say. Ewan McGregor and Jeff Bridges were great. George Clooney was George Clooney, a little bit loony, a little bit sweaty, Clooney. The CGI Youtherizing™ of McGregor, Bridges and Clooney was great. The story, unbelievable, then quite plausible, then they put LSD in the water and eggs. Somehow, I believe shit just about this weird actually did go on in the military, and some of it probably still is.

I finally plodded all the way through Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It's definitely better than the other two prequels, by a wide margin in fact. I think it would even be a good film (not great, of course; it still has wooden acting, unconvincing character motivation, and plenty of crap dialogue) if it weren't for the vacuum pressure of the first two films' suckage draining the life out of it.

Watched Repo Men last night. Halfway decent action flick, but the plot was pretty obvious. What wasn't obvious was the ending. It just sucked that they ended it the way they did. Hmph. Of course, the fight scene towards the end in front of the "pink door" was pretty awesome (it's the french version ... and a crappy one at that).

In other news, saw The Kids Are All Right over the weekend. Not bad. Not what I expected from trailers, though. A number of arcs just sort of trailed off. Best line: "Usually in those kinds of movies, they just get two straight women to fake it."

I also saw The Time Traveler's Wife. I enjoyed it but that might be due to my having read and enjoyed the book. I wonder how it would have been otherwise. And hey, Brad Pitt had executive producer credit. So I had a very Brad Pitt afternoon at the cinema.
I had never heard of this (the movie or the book) but it was on HBO a couple days ago and I liked the description so I watched it. I thought it was really good. It felt to me more like a relationship drama set in an unusual framing device than a science fiction film, and I still liked it!
I watched "$9.99" tonight on Netflix. Australian/Israeli stop-motion animation collaboration. Visually beautiful. The story is interesting. I liked it.
Why are you clicking this? Do you think it is different just because I quoted it?
You must have hated the Kill Bill films.

No, actually I kind of liked those. Not that I'm a fan of violence. And I do have to hide behind a pillow during the particularly (potentially) gruesome scenes. Like I did last night during a couple of them, like, for instance,
Oh, so you expected THIS one to be different? Do you use the ?

You are all so gullible. Or maybe you expect a NBL like
You should be ashamed of yourself.
No I meant having a little girl defeat big guys. I likes my Uma, but Uma cannot fight her way out of an oil soaked paper bag.
