Hope for six seasons and a movie is still alive! Deadline reports that the talks are very preliminary, but both sides are apparently willing.
I was pretty meh about the season 5 revival, and I ended up enjoying that so, while I'm pretty meh about this as well, I have some hope that, if it happens, it will not suck.

So the other night, we knew it was out and we realized, uh... how do we watch this shit? On our phones or what? We tried to do it on the Xbox because we heard there was a yahoo screen app, but apparently that is only for 360, not for the One, which we have. So it turns out there is a Roku app, so we pulled the roku out from the bedroom and fired it up, but it made me wonder. How do the normals who don't have a billion different devices specifically for consuming web content on their TVs deal with this?
I really really liked Ladders. I miss Shirley already, but her spinoff made me . The other episode I totally forgot what it was until I read a description online.
Then I remembered it made me very uncomfortable, how everybody was calling Britta "dramatic" for being upset about her boundaries being extremely violated and nobody taking her seriously. Too real. Too real. I don't even get what the show's message was supposed to be, but it seemed like even the show itself thought her reaction was childish, given the whole bit with the tricycle. (But of course I loved how Abed followed up with what happened to the trike. Oh, Abed. )
I didn't exactly forget but I did not remember. I think I stopped because Firefox acted weird when I tried to watch even the first episode and then didn't finish it. (Between AdBlock, Ghostery and a hosts files blacklisting a lot of ad servers I sometimes have to work hard to see things in some spaces.) Now I'm binging a bunch of episodes and it's all okay. Even if key personalities aren't there anymore. (Shirley, Troy - I don't miss Chevy tbh.)
Also honestly? I'd expect NBC to actually produce the Butcher and the Baker, if they didn't have to pay Dan Harmon for it. But then I kinda want to see all of the "fake" tv shows and movies they hint at being almost real. Three episodes in, I'm liking the replacements. The show has always done rolling with the punches very well, a tribute to its "meta-ness," that's baked into the format.
Plus any changes to work with the Yahoo aren't nearly as terrible and off putting as season... what was it four? I've blacked it out. My only complaint is that, at least for me, the commercials play right in the middle of something instead of at a break point. You know, like right in the middle of the intro song?
Now I'm binging a bunch of episodes and it's all okay.
Yay! You're back! Just you wait until Ep 8, Abed makes a scifi movie starring everybody and it is exactly as awesome as you'd expect. Also, an old friend comes back in Ep 7, and I think you (especially) are going to appreciate their new persona as much as I do.

I just want to say that "cartoonish vampiric orgy of devices" is my favorite thing said on television right now. That Goliath is the one to say it only sweetens the effect.
I bet nobody has asked for Gargoyle smilies before. That I'm the first or only makes me sad because that means they are low in demand.
I don't know about you guyses, but Modern Espionage is my new favorite episode. (I'll be watching the rest of season 6 RIGHT NOW so this could be subject to change.) I saw elements of Captain America (CAPDEAN AMERICA, AMIRITE ), Mr & Mrs Smith, In the Line of Fire and then p much any other shooter em up out there.
My only quibblet right now is that the Closed Captioning keeps turning itself back on after commercial breaks.
the metaness. FOR NOW I AM SLAIN BY IT. All the S7 Pitches they acted like the person pitching and not just the words you could hear the person saying.
And then the for real feels.
If it's a real series finale it's right up there with All Good Things....
