Of course there were. There are the listed points concerning conscience. Until you can support them they remain no more than presuppositions. That's what the word 'presupposition' means.

Oh, and where were those red photons? Have you worked out yet whether they were stationary photons or teleporting photons? (Because you have inconsistently claimed that they were both.)
I'm going to say this one more time. The only thing he has to prove is that, under certain environmental conditions, conscience cannot justify hurting others with a first blow. If he can do that, then his reasoning is spot on, and this new world is coming whether you can see it or not. That's all I'm going to add. The responses have gotten so mean and nasty that I'm not going to tolerate it anymore.
And when your memory and reasoning fails you yet again because of your mental illness you will tolerate it again, and again, and again till the end of your days.....
or you could get help.

Get help peacegirl, schizophrenia is treatable.
Of course NA is going to try and get the last word. He's been doing this all along, as if his remarks discredit this major discovery. For those people who have a tad of humility left (which I doubt), I am giving the address to my website just in case they may be interested after this thread is gone. I promise, I won't tell anyone since I know there's so much pressure in here to make Lessans look like a fool, which he is anything but. So mums the word. shhhh Please be aware that my website is not yet constructed. Hopefully it will be up and ready in a short time.

Coming Soon - Future home of something quite cool

This is yet another example of the dysfunction of peacegirls cognitive ability. She doesn't understand that what I am saying is that I fully expect for her to keep posting in these threads until the day she dies. Somehow she has interpreted this to be a last word.

Get help peacegirl, you really need it.

She's not all wrong. If davidm can project his extreme biases onto others then turnabout is fair play.

I'm sorry, but you're schizophrenic. There is clearly a breakdown of thought processes here.

He got it from "shut up and calculate," which according to him is absolutely authoritative. "Shut up and calculate" is God for him, all inquiry stops there.

Of course, there is no "shut up and calculate" to diagnose schizophrenia, so I guess he's just a big hypocrite, since he is stating a "fact" without shutting up and calculating! Goodness, does this mean there could be more to life and to intellectual inquiry than "shut up and calculate"? :freakout:
David, why don't you just shut up and calculate.

While he's doing that, why don't you provide a mathematical proof that God exists? If Lessans can prove that, mathemathcally, a man and wife will not want to sleep in the same bed, you can do that, no problem.

Did anyone ever watch an old movie from the 40's and 50's? Hollywood dictated that all married couples should sleep in seperate beds. Lessans must have been watching a lot of old movies. Even in the TV shows from the period had man and wife in twin beds.

The early TV sitcom Mary Kay and Johnny was the first television series to portray a married couple who slept in the same bed.

Your entire "contribution" to this thread has been repeatedly to insult peacegirl, and to malign her as schizophrenic, without telling us how you arrived at this conclusion. After all, by your own standards, if you did not arrive at this conclusion through "shut up and calculate," then your conclusion is invalid. Since "shut up and calculate" is "authoritative," according to you, let's see your math on how peacegirl is schizophrenic. Remember, philosophy is dead, and all that exists are equations! So funny that you are in the same position as Lessans. Irony meters explode.

It's also true that I have repeatedly insulted peacegirl, but that is because she has repeatedly insulted us. But, unlike you, I have also offered something to this thread, with discussions of special relativity, the empirical proofs of delayed-time seeing, the philosophy of space and time, and much else besides. You've offered nothing but your monomaniacal mantra that peacegirl is schizophrenic. So you have actually contributed nothing except your hatred.

I'm sorry you feel so put out by this observation and it took you so long to figure out that peacegirl was crazy and that posting material trying to explain her error was just a silly waste of time.

I'm sorry you are so defensive that you must twist my genuine concern for peacegirls mental health into your typical stupid internet game to save face with your homies.

You may not think that reasoning is a form of computation but it is. However the human mind is not very good at computation in general. Children must be taught to count and when they start off they are not very good at it. I'm sorry that you don't like that idea. I'm sorry that science is figuring out that in the 21st century philosophy is of limited utility in its endeavors. That many new discoveries are beyond human understanding and all there is to do is turn the crank and check the models against reality.

I know all this just chaps your ass to no end. So much so that you must stalk anyone that would ever think such a thing.

I feel very sorry for you.
